View Full Version : Legalized gambling
*Melissa* 07-02-2003, 09:43 AM In my home state of Pennsylvania, the government is going to be deciding if the state should have legalized gambling... like slot machines at the race tracks. My question to you is, does your state have legalized gambling? If so, do you gamble?
Mijada 07-02-2003, 10:23 AM We just got some casinos here in Detroit a few years ago. I've been to one of them once just to see how it was. I would never make a habit of it though.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 07-02-2003, 12:35 PM We've had casinos and riverboats and crap here for the longest time...
littleputz114 07-02-2003, 12:45 PM Im 12 i dont go gambling but my family does! they go to canada and Detroit!
Kay Scarpetta 07-02-2003, 02:40 PM Hm..... MA. I don't know if it's legal here or not. I know Mohegan Sun is in Connecticut, and Foxwoods is too, right? Or is that in MA...
Brian 07-02-2003, 02:43 PM San Diego has several casinos and resorts. Sycuan (which is the official sponsor of the San Diego Padres), Viejas, Barona, and Pechanga are a few of them.
Ewan's My Man 07-02-2003, 03:05 PM I'm pretty sure it's legal here in Maryland, but then again, I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-02-2003, 03:54 PM Theyre trying to make it legal in Maine, and I dont think it passed to be in NH or MA. Im moving to ME in like, a year or so, so I hope it passes!!:woohoo:
Faith 07-02-2003, 03:57 PM California has legalized gambling, but only on Indian Reservations, i think. Yes, I do gamble... Its kind of addicting.
Kristina 07-02-2003, 05:58 PM Um I live in California... some indian casino opened kind of close to here not that long ago, probably like a month. I'm not old enough to gamble, though.
fr00ti 07-02-2003, 06:06 PM No It's not legal in Alabama, but its legal on the water in Mississippi, which isnt that far away from where I live. Most people go to Biloxi to gamble.
Penny Lane 07-02-2003, 07:11 PM It is legal in Michigan but I have never been to a casino. No interest:rolleyes:
I'm from NJ, which does have Atlantic City.
Here in New York there are a few Gaming casinos upstate. Mohegan Sun is a pretty nice place.
I think they were going to try to bring slots and video poker into the racetracks, and at OTB, but I don't think it's going to go through. Then there is the contstant talk about bringing gambling cruises to NYC, which would be pretty cool, but that looks like it won't happen any time soon.
TheHappyBurgerMeister 07-02-2003, 09:38 PM I live in Wisconsin, I have no idea, but we do have a lot of casinos here. So, maybe it is. Well, I (along with the rest of my family) all brought powerball tickets together so we have a bigger chance to win! Never won anything before though, but you have a better chance if there's more people.

My great-uncle usedta own a lotta those casinos...yea...I'm pretty sure that was the story. He usedta own a lotta those up there and would never let my parent's go gambling b/c he knew all the tricks.
I think that's the story...I have an interesting family...
My mom went to the Bahamas recently and locals aren't allowed to gamble.
DarleneIllyria 07-03-2003, 12:14 AM I think they were gonna pass something here in my town to legalize gambling w/ video poker. Didn't pass though. We've got the lottery tickets and all that, I'll play that every now and again. When I turn 21, I wanna go to Missippi to gamble. Gotta be 21 there, I think. Damn, hurry up 21st birthday.
-*Leah*- 07-03-2003, 12:29 AM NO...Its not legal here.
