This takes place after Magda and Gabe got married- there on their honey-moon and Jinny was invited to stay with a friend at Moon Lake and since Teddy's on a buisness trip and she didn't want to be stuck at her house alone she accepted

Dear Magda,
Remember Sally Woods, the woman that helped me get my apartment? well she just got a cabin here at moon lake and thats where i am right now-i guess you know that duh! well any way she called and said she needed my help and with Teddy being on a buisness trip and you on your honey-moon with Gabe i didn't want to be here alone so i said id come. But when i got here Sally was gone! she left a note saying weird things happen here sometimes. and that she couldn't stay here any longer and she'll call me later. and i don't think ill be leaving any time soon-as i was pulling into the driveway a tree fell down behind my car. but it might be kinda fun to stay here tho. its nightime here and im waiting for Sally to call. i guess ill talk to ya later-your friend Jinny

Jinny put the letter in an envalope and put it on the table to mail later

S-just wait till it jets dark, then you'll see see... no, you can't stay there! why don't you just drive up here to my dads, he's got plenty of room!
J-i can't im stuck here!-1 of your trees fell down behind my car
S-oh-damn... i know! call "Vinnies Vallie". a store on the lake, vinnie knows every1, she'll know who to call.
J-won't the store be closed this late at night?
S-oh yeah-your right, look, theres a little motor boat outside, its tied to my dock-just get in it and go!
J-why? whats going to happen?
S-the dogs......his dogs!.....ghosts!....*beep*
J- hello? dogs? did you say dogs?... darn! (hangs up)
