I was just wondering because I noticed that TVL skipped half of season 3 this time & they're going to skip half of season 4 & they probably will skip half of season 5.

View Full Version : Is "Get Smart" going to leave TV Land? BLT 06-30-2003, 05:23 PM I was just wondering because I noticed that TVL skipped half of season 3 this time & they're going to skip half of season 4 & they probably will skip half of season 5. benjamoon 06-30-2003, 09:28 PM I don't think so.... TV Land skips episodes for no reasons of a lot of shows, that doesn't mean it's leaving TV Land. I think I heard somewhere that they have it for 4 years Pavan 06-30-2003, 11:06 PM They skip episodes because they are only allowed to air an episode for a certain amount per year. Every show has a different number for air plays per contract. Get Smart is on the TV Land roster until the end of the year, hopefully they renew it then. So does this mean that they save bigger, more popular episodes for a special occasion to pop ratings, or what? I noticed the other day that TV Land skipped over "It May Look Like A Walnut" in the Dick Van Dyke Show run... it made me wonder. Sometimes they air some episodes for a special or a box set and they skip them in the regular rotation to save air plays. |
