Hey now!! I'll have you know Peal Bailey, I mean Pearl Jam was a great concert!..........That's quite a list, I'll have to give it some thought and see if I can think of others.

Oh wow. I'll have to make my list later. It'll be HUGE. I'll definately make a list tho! I agree with some of yours too.

I noticed you have "Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty on your list... I have a funny story about that one. hehehe. When we were in Cape Cod last week, it was 9:30 PM and we were at the campground, and all of a sudden my cousin goes "there's a half-hour until quiet time! Let's go be loud!" lol. so she takes the stereo, puts in a CD, and starts off with that song "Life Is A Highway" (I forgot who it's by), and we go dancing and singing it down the roads at the campsite carrying the radio. We were so loud. People wanted to kill us. lol. and then the next song she put on was "Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty. hehehe so we were basically doing the same thing with that song. then we came up to some guys walking in our direction on the road, and they were like, "hey! that's a good song!" and they joined us until the song was over. hehehe it was great! So now I love that song (well, both of those songs) just because it reminds me of how much fun we had that night doing that. :D

HaHa...good story Krista! Life is a Highway was done by Tom Cochrane.....most famous for an 80's hit called Lunatic Fringe, see I know my 80's music!!

A few years back I did the video for my brother's wedding and I used "Life is a Highway" as one of the tracks......"Life is a highway, I wanna drive it, all night long"......

Great minds think alike. :D

Actually I had a hard time whittlin my list down to what it is!! I have a buddy who made a similar list and ranked the songs, but I could never rank them!

Chicago is coming to a town near me in July -- but I think I've already blown my concert budget for the year when I saw The Eagles last month.

ahhhhhhhh another great band, " The Eagles " is also one of my favorite bands ... and once again theres a funny thing about that one to because Randy Meisner of The Eagles was in town with the band Poco just 2 weeks ago

Oh yeah - Poco! Timothy B. Schmit was a member of Poco before he joined the Eagles. The only song I can think of their's right now is "Crazy Love."

Poco is like smooth ballads... and that's Tim Schmit. It's funny how the Eagles are -- from Tim Schmit's total smooth ballad to Joe Walsh total hard rockin rock. Put those guys together and woo-whee! I had *such* a blast at that concert!! It was 2 weeks ago and I'm still high.

The Eagles put on a great show. They're my all-time, all-round favorite rock band... but I like a bunch of others too, as you could see from my list!

Also, you know -- that list was just my "rock" list... because I also really love the 40s swing, like "String of Pearls" "Little Brown Jug" 50s music, classical, polynesian, polka, gospel, blues -- hee hee. You name the genre, I'll love it!!

That's one reason I can't rank songs. I mean, what is my favorite song? "Moonlight Serenade" or "Back in Black" ?? I can't choose one!!

Love,

Wing<><

Wingshock, that's some list, and so diverse. I can't even begin to make a list. It would take too long. I, too have alot of tastes. I like to go to concerts and just recently, my sister and I went to Crosby, Stills & Nash one night and then Def Leppard the next. One time we saw the Rolling Stones one night and Barry Manilow the next. Laugh if you want but I've loved Barry's music since I was a kid. In fact, I had a better time at Barry's show than the Stones.

Wow, wingsock, that is definitely some long list I don't think 'd be able to think of so many of favorite songs to make one like that. But I especially like your avatar, :D .

I'll narrow mine down to ten.

Oh yeah - Meatloaf! Forgot him. I saw him in concert many years ago.

Paradise by the Dashboard Lights & Two out of 3 ain't bad -- those are my 2 favorite Meatloaf songs.

Krista2882

losthighway- awesome list!!
It reminded me of some that I forgot!!

"Save Yourself" by Stabbing Westward is awesome!! I love that song!!!

and you mentioned U2, which reminded me of "New Years Day" by them. Oh man, I looooove that song soo much, it gives me chills. lol. i don't really know why.

and "Insensitive" by Jann Arden! I almost forgot about that song! I used to love that when it was on the radio a few years ago, and then I sort of forgot about it. I should download it.

oooh. and Garbage is a GREAT band! I don't know if I would call any of their songs my favorite of all time, bit I love them. I have their first 2 CD's and my Dad has their 3rd CD. I love "As Heaven Is Wide". That's one of my favorites by them. It's on their 1st CD. I don't really like their latest CD that much... I saw them in concert last October- they opened for No Doubt (another one of my all-time favorite bands). They were awesome in concert (so was No Doubt! that was the second time I saw No Doubt though. the first time was July 11, 1997. lol I even remember the date. haha).

and Evanescence- did I include them in my list? because I meant to. I love them. "My Immortal" is a good song, but I have to be in the rightt mood to listen to that one. It's a really sad song. I love "Bring Me To Life", and "Haunted", "Whisper", "Taking Over Me".. and a few more from one of their older CD's, and I don't remember the names. lol. My brother is a HUGE fan of theirs. he has their first CD that is REALLY hard to find. I like their newer one better, but the other one has some cool songs. their newest CD has some redone versions of songs from their first CD too. My brother even met them at a concert a few months ago, and hung out with them for like, a half-hour. he got his Evanescence T-shirt autographed by the whole band.
I'd like to see them in concert. they're actially going to be playing in CT on Friday. my brother and my cousin are going, and I want to go, but at the same time I don't want to go, because it's the 4th of July and I'm a freak for tradition, and I want to go to the city fireworks that day with my family like I've been doing my whole life. haha I'm so lame.

oh and uh, who was it?- Phoebe I think- about Dream Theater? I was telling my brother that you saw them and Queensryche, and he was like, "oh yeah, they're going to be at the Oakdale (in CT) on July 8th. man! I wanna go see Dream Theater and Queensryche!! I wish I had more notice about it!! I don't think I'll be able to go! poo!

ok, I think thatr's enough rambling for now. hehe

Yeah, Krista, you like Garbage! As the cliche goes, "great minds think alike." (Or we're just really sick, haha)

I actually own all 3 of their CD's, plus several B-Sides. Definitely one of my favorite bands of all time. I'm jealous you got to see them in concert. They were touring here in California with No Doubt as well, but I was out of town. I of course like their third CD as well.....their supposed to have a new CD out later this year, or early next year, yep I'll get it!.....as for Evanescence "Bring Me to Life" is a great song. When I first heard it I really liked Amy Lee's voice, it sort of reminded me of Shirley Manson with the mood and depth. Then once I heard the entire CD I loved it. My Immortal is a definite mood song, and it kind of reminds me of a Tori Amos kind of sound. Kind of like "China" and a few others by Tori.

See, I told you my list was uncomplete! Yes, Meatloaf and Paradise... and 2 out of 3 are favorites of mine. My brother told me he saw 'Fight Club' and he didn't even recognize Meatloaf in the movie until he read the ending credits. As for U2, I always thought a great song from them was In God's Country.:music: :guitar: :music: :guitar:

Ice Cream Man
