I believe this is one of the nicest episodes of the series. I liked the fact that it was the first Christmas for the merged family and there were lots of lovely sentimental moments in the script. The show was less "groovy" in these very early episodes and I prefer it that way...more like a 1960's sit com than a 70's one.

You're right, this was a really cool episode, and also when it was originally in syndication you literally had to wait until the Xmas season to see it (back then they did not include it in their regular rerun cycle due to the holiday theme). I remember making sure the VCR was free so I could record it and I still have that old tape somewhere.

One thing that really struck me about this episode was those wild gift boxes they had. And how about those HUGE bows that were on all of the gifts???
