View Full Version : Chachi's Bandana
animalcrackers 06-27-2003, 08:43 AM What's with the bandana Chachi wears around is leg? Did it have something to do with bringing him luck or was he trying to start a fad, was he trying to stop the bleeding, what ? I think this question was asked before, but what's with it?
*Melissa* 06-27-2003, 09:41 AM My guess is that he was trying to start a fad, but I'm not really sure.
HDfanLiz 06-27-2003, 02:06 PM My guess would be it was trying to start a fad, but I have no idea. Good question though.

I believe he was trying to stop the bleeding in his leg...
fonz-a-mundo 06-27-2003, 02:09 PM The Bandana around the thigh was a fashion statement of the 70s. The producers must have forgotten for a while that the show was supposed to be set in the 50's.Actually, most of chachi's clothes are more 70s style than 50s.
But the Bandana was definately 70s fashion.Dont know if this helps

IT WAS TO GIVE HIM GOOD LUCK IT WAS ON A EPISODE IT WAS FONZIE OR MR.C THAT ASKED WHY DO YOU HAVE A BANDANA AROUND YOUR LEG? AND CHACHI SAID TO GIVE HIM GOOD LUCK [THUMBS UP] WHOA!
animalcrackers 06-27-2003, 04:41 PM I seem to recall now a episode about it bringing good luck and also the 70's fad. Chachi's clothes and hair style were more fitting for the 70's than the 50's alright.

AnaheimPMWitch 06-28-2003, 01:17 PM yeah I kinda thought it was a fad
hawaii five-o 06-29-2003, 04:09 PM Maybe Chachi needed to remember something and instead of tying a string around his finger, he tied a bandana around his leg. Anyway, the costume designers really dropped the ball during the last few seasons of "Happy Days." The only place a guy wore a handkerchief in 1962 was in the pocket of his suit jacket. Remember the episode where Richie carried "one for show and one for blow" ???

*Shelle* 06-30-2003, 06:55 PM Ooh! Ooh! *raises hand* I remember this one! In No Tell Motel...Joanie and Chachi are trying to talk to each other at Arnold's, even though the deal was Joanie could only have a phone in her room is she stayed away from Chachi for two weeks. When Al catches them talking, he comes over and tells them to stop. Then he pauses, asks Chachi why he has a bandana around his leg, and Chachi says "I wear it for luck." Al responds, "You're going to need it!"
