Who likes Basketfull of Puppies?? I like their album "Sound of White Noise". At one time they were going to almost be as big as Metallica, but...oh well, they still rock, and that's what counts!!:rock: :guitar: :guitar: :rock:

Actually, they are more commonly known by another name...Let's see if I can give some clues:

They replaced their former lead singer (who sang more like Steve Perry of Journey) with a singer of another popular metal band;

They were perhaps one of the first metal bands in the 80's to combine metal and rap;

One of their most popular songs was a cover of a Joe Jackson song;

And one of the reasons why they "changed" their name is due to the post-9/11 paranoia--in fact, they never really changed it--Basketfull of Puppies was suggested as a joke.

Actually, they never really changed their name, "Basketfull of Puppies" was a joke. They've insisted their name Anthrax will remain the same.

Yeah, no one will ever top Metallica, but they were part of the original thrash scene with Metallica back in the early 80's:
