How do you like the characters of Vicki and Phillip?? My personal opinion is I don't like them because they took Jack and Janet away from each other!!!! lol!! But, really....what did you think?? Even though both relationships were very rushed, they seemed to work, from what I saw ( I never saw TOC). Phillip seemed to treat Janet well....

Phillip is a nice guy, but it's hard to form an opinion on how appealing his character is since we don't get to see much of him.

We don't see a lot of Vicki as well, but from what I remember of "Three's a Crowd", I thought her character was a little too bland and not energetic enough. It would have helped the spin-off if her character evolved on Three's Company and we got to know her a little better.

Phillip and Vicki seemed like nice people, but we didn't really see enough of them on TC to really tell and I haven't seen TAC. They seemed sorta bland though. I wish they had been introduced earlier in the season occasionally so it didn't seem like Jack and Vicki & Janet and Phillip just hooked up over night - even though the 'Cupid' episode aired in May 1984 and the finale aired four months later in September 1984.

I always thought that Phillip was too umm...nerdy? for Janet. I never really liked the Vicki character because it didn't seem right to me that Jack would finally get together with someone other than the perfect person: Janet! You're right though, there wasn't much time to actually get to know Phil and Vicki...

They slapped those storylines together and threw those 4 together too fast for viewers to feel any real emotion for the relationships.
Janet and Phillip got married faster than it takes the milk in my fridge to reach its expiration date.
There was no character development for Vicki or Phillip, therefore, I didn't click with their characters.

I couldn't have said it any better, I completely agree with everything you have said.

Vicki seemed like she had GOTTEN around. Phillip was okay but I still think Jack and Janet should've ended up together...I would've loved to see their married lives together.

I don't care for the Phillip character, and I hated the Vicki Character, the producers didn't introduce them until late in the season. IMO I think a spinoff would be good with Jack and Janet or Jack and Terri, because fans of the show would be used to the cast and not 2 people who were barley even on the show. Jack should have married Janet or Terri.
