well hes talked to me on Aims every once in awhile and he said he was going to Lay low from all boards for awhile because of what happened

If he did do it, it is simply a fact that faking your own death and then masquerading as a grieving relative is seriously unethical. Even if he did do it, that's not to say that he's a bad person. If he did it, there could be many explanations for the behavior. But doing such a thing is serious and there's no reason why anyone should let it go.

OK let's look at the basic facts:

Smoothe gave a fond farewell with the absolute implication that he might die- it doesn't take a person over 20 to see this kids, he said it.

And now everything is "well I don't know," and "I can't say this," and "she is somebody who might"- yeah, ok.

I know you guys who support him have good hearts and all, but really it is just a case of someone making up a lot of crap and backpeddling- meaning, they would say anything rather than admit they lied.

Have you never seen someone who just denied and denied and denied even though it was a fact they were lying?
I bet you have, I bet you know someone.

And here is a tip for you- you don't believe someone can lie to you on the internet? Someone you've talked to online briefly?

Sure your friends might lie, these are people you look at and know- BUT you have history and a lot of good reasons to make up and settle- after they come clean.

But someone you talk to for a couple weeks on the internet?

Because I didn't do it and no one is accusing me. Your contention that the members don't have the right to pursue the matter of someone who may have faked his death and then posed as a grieving relative is absurd. There is no question that the act is very serious and deserves punishment. The only question is whether you did it. Stop trying to confuse the issue. The issue is crystal clear.

I won't tell you my suspicion, but I can tell you that it is entirely possible that he is. Either he's innocent and the whole thing is a terrible shame, or he's guilty. If he's guilty he did something very, very wrong, and the members are entirely justified in pursuing the matter. Whether he's guilty and whether, if guilty, he should be given another chance are completely separate questions. That's what I think, MG.

It's annoying how people are getting on to me and others for "going on and on" for something you too are guilty of. We're not just arguing with ourselves here...

IF he did these things, it is a very serious matter, and deserves punishment. In fact, he was banned, and I doubt TJ did that without evidence. What does it say about his character that he snuck back under a different identity? If I had been banned for something I didn't do, I'd send a letter to TJ appealing to him that I was innocent. I wouldn't sneak back with a name change.

A long time ago, approximately 21 months ago, the same exact thing happened to the boards before. There was this girl by the name of 'Sara' on the Division board who said she often had 'suicidal' thoughts. A few days later, a 'friend' of hers had informed the board that she had killed herself the night before. Of course, the people on the board immediately said their 'I'm sorry's' and 'I hope you're doing okay's'. Then this 'friend' of hers signed up onto a different name and even posted a topic that they were going to join the message board and post regularly. A few days later, people started to really think about it, and peiced together the puzzle. They went to TJ to get the final word, and it was true. She was the same person and staged her death.

The point of my story? To show you that this isn't the first time something like this happened. I'm not saying that smoothe lied and did it himself, and I'm not saying he didn't, but I just want you three to understand where we're coming from. This has happened to us before, an it turned out the person lied, so of course we're going to be suspicious about it and doubt it. It's only natural. Like the old saying goes, "Shame on you if you fool me once. Shame on me if you fool me twice." Maybe some would, but I am assuming that his goal is to have people leave him alone, and there is no more efficient way to accomplish that than to utterly ignore all criticism. I am not saying he's innocent, but logically, from his point of view, that's the best move. If he keeps talking about the incident and defending himself, no matter how well, it could go on for a hundred years.
