Well, I had this sudden revelation today. I suddenly remembered the last time I saw Facts of Life before it came on Nick at Nite. It was the day I lived every college student's worst nightmare. Early Monday morning I showed up for my final. Only nobody was there. I went back to check my syllabus, and the final had been on Friday. I missed it. Why would it be on a Friday when the class met on Mondays and Wednesdays all semester? Anyway, there was nothing I could do but go back to my dorm room and freak out and wait. It was 8am and alll my friends were still asleep, my professor wasn't in yet, and my roommate had already moved out and taken the phone. So I turned on good ol' USA and watched a little FOL because that's when it was on really early. I was too panicked for it to make me feel much better, but I was a little pleasantly surprised because it had been a while since I had been up early enough to see it. I don't know why I felt the need to share that. Maybe because I know you've all had dreams about missing tests and stuff. Well, I lived it. You'll be happy to know that I talked to my professor and he let me take the final that day. Needless to say, I now check about 500 times when my finals are. At least I was up early enough to catch the show! Too bad at that point I didn't think to be taping it every day like a good "lifer"

Every person may have something that makes sense in their mind that others might not understand. I know I do that sometimes.

That was always one of my nightmares, too. I don't know why they never give the finals on the same day/time as when they teach the class???

I never missed a final but I did sleep through a test once for one of my 7:00 a.m classes. What a nightmare!!
