It was one of those "OMG!" moments when they used Joseph C Philips as both a date for Sondra in "Cliff in Love", and then he comes back seasons later to become a totally different character as Denise's husband! Maybe when the show was on air, they thought people wouldn't notice but now in syndication it's just too noticeable! :)

Bill Cosby must have like Joseph C. Phillips, to bring him back later.

call-alluejah, i think that you are right, I think Bill brings back people he likes. Like he used Phyiclia for "The Cosby show" and "Cosby". Plus I think that they are the best Tv parents too. and they are both very good together

I think he was more suited for Sondra since he was kind of Dorky

yeah, he was all smart and so was she, I liked them together in that episode. htey looked good together

Yea that's true, they did seem like more of a match, but then i think their relationship would have been boring. She would have said something, and he would agree because they were both along the same path. When he was with Denise, he was that strong structure, that we all know she desperately needed. Their personality's were differrent. So that made their relationship more entertaining.
