fighting and arguing? Rudy was 5 and Vanessa was 12 and i can't understand why there was numerous fights between them. It made Vanessa look a little SPECIAL-LOL If you are 12 you are never supposed to argue with your five year sister. Then when Vanessa was 16 and Rudy was 9, they were still fighting and had to live in the basement. This is why I always thought the Vanessa character was STRANGE.

If you think about it, it could also be because of their personality's.
Vanessa swore she was always grown and thought she knew more than she actually did ( even though she was smart) and tried to push it on anyone around her.
Her little sister (Rudy) was a strong minded female that didn't back down from anyone, whether it be her sister, other siblings, Kenny or any other boy. So there was bound to be conflict because they both had disagreeing personality's.
Plus they slept in the same room and were both females ( that one's very indicative of something).

Vanessa was 11 and Rudy was 5 in the first season. Vanessa was 15 and Rudy was 9 in the episode "A Room With No View".

It still looks stupid for a teenager who is two years away from hersenior year in highschool to argue with a 4th grade student.

that's true, but i just think it's indicative of vanessa's personality and quest to be right all the time, even with her sister who's 6 years younger than her. i think she would like that until she died.

Well I don't think it is so strange. I have a sister who's 10 years older than me and 3 brothers who are 4 years, 7 years and 14 years older than me and when we were kids still living at home we were always argueing.
Rudy would do things to provoke Vanessa and I did the same things to my siblings just to make them mad because being the youngest I always thought I was getting the short end of the stick.

The oldest child is supposed to know not to feed into what their little brother or sister is doing. ESpecially if they are 7 years older

I agree but that's not always how sibling relationships are. Especially in a big family. Kids no matter how old they are can only take so much before they go off on someone.
