It was very interesting but I was disappointed that she didn't really describe or go into detail about the Mama's Family cast or the show itself. Anybody else feel this way?

Yeah....BUT I DON'T CARE. It was GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! So it wouldn't have mattered to me whether or not she put in more stuff about "Mama's Family"...I'm just really happy Vicki put in a TON of pictures. :D

I wish she would put out a book entirely about Mama's Family! She must have tons of behind the scenes stories and other fun stuff that she could put in it!
PZelda, you're her buddy, why don't you run that idea by her?! ;)
It could be a group effort; All the cast could be involved. Man, that would be one great book, don't you think?

Sure thing, I know how to get into touch with Vicki personally (I never thought I'd say that :o). I'll let you know what happens, but you know at the moment Vicki is on her tour and if I remember correctly she is in Connecticut until June 29th. Nevertheless, I'll have the idea run by her. :)

That's a great idea! Several sitcom stars have written books exclusively about their series'. That would be so cool! I hope she considers it!:D

Okay, it has been done...I don't have DIRECT contact with Vicki, but I have my own ties. I will let you guys know when I get a response. I love the MF book idea!

I received a copy of Vicki's book (autographed) from a good friend o' mine one Christmas a few years ago.

And OMG, I literally couldn't put it down!! :O I read the whole thing in about 6 1/2 hours! :D

It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO incredibly wonderful, and I wouldn't change a thing about it---okay, okay, so I'd love to see more MF stuff, as we all would---but there's nothin' I'd wanna take out!

Man, that lady's life has amazed me...I got really touched at the part where she was in Vietnam, and the soldier asked her to please call his mom and tell her he's okay...jeez, I'm gettin' chills just rememberin' it! :) And then she spent literally HOURS after work every night for two weeks callin' so many soldiers' parents---and how about that Vietnam "Vicki!" show when one of the soldiers' mothers was in the audience and said she remembered Vicki callin' her? Gosh, what beautiful moments to share...

Anyway, yeah, have the book, and LOVE it!! And Vicki's wicked sense of humor sure does shine through! :lol:

I'm still waiting on a reply....None as of yet, but it would be understandable since Vicki just got home yesterday from Connecticut, I am guessing.

I totally agree with you about everything, TallGuy! I love the fact she put in a TON of pictures - not like any other autobiographies, where they only put in 12 or 24 pics. :p I'd also love an update on what she's done since her book was published in 1995. :D

I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts in English (Writing)---so if Vicki is interested in writin' a book about MF, I would be MORE than happy to help her with the task! ;)

Yeah, I loooooooooooooooooove the show, but I can also be objective when writin' about things when that's necessary (for example, even though I don't like Ellen when she's mean to Naomi or really stuck up about stuff, I wouldn't skimp on her part of the book in any way---I wanna please all the fans!) :)

Yeah, I don't have DIRECT contact w/ Vicki, but like I said before, I have my own ties. I must, however, respect the limited time she has. When she's not on tour, she's in rehersals just about every day, and they are really exhausting rehersals. When she does have the time, it is usually with her husband. I have ran this idea by Vicki, but I need to run it by again to see if she got my email about the MF book idea. ;)
