I have a quick question for you guys. During the days that FOL was on USA were the episodes cut then as well? I remember hearing awhile back on this message board that they were uncut. On the other hand, more recently I heard that parts were cut. So I am just curious which it was or if USA may have decided later to start showing cut-up episodes. Any answers are appreciated. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I think USA aired the cut episodes for the 5 years they had the rights to show.

However, they were cut differently on USA than on N@N.
USA aired the original syndicated episodes, which cut out most of the filler and left the funny moments. On N@N, they've restored the stuff originally cut out for syndication and gave us footage that hasn't been seen since the original airings of FoL. However, it seems that giving us the full, uncut episodes would have been too much to ask.

So would getting copies of episodes that were taped off USA be worth for the most part? Would I have a big chance on seeing stuff that N@N cut out?

Yep.
You would most likely see differences in the episodes.
Plus, you would be able to see the episodes about suicide, rape, and Natalie and Snake having sex.

Thanks for the information. Now I decided that I am definitely going to have to get my hands on copies of the versions that ran on USA.
