First of all, a quick episode summary.

Jack fakes amnesia to delay blame for totalling Janet's new car. After suspecting that Jack maybe faking, the girls come up with a plan to make him reveal the truth.

Amnesia is a common plot device in tv land, but I enjoyed most of the episode because it was true to the Three's Company formula, misunderstanding and all. I especially liked the scene where Janet's concern over Jack's well being turns into anger as she learns more about the accident. Episodes where Jack and Janet care for each other, like "Jack's Tattoo", are some of my favorites but I digress. The reason why this particular episode isn't my favorite is because although the climax had so much potential, it was ultimately disappointing.

The plan to make Jack reveal the truth by having a girl pretend to be enganged to him was uninspired and not really a "gothca" since Jack wasn't forced to reveal the turth. He could of simply said that he was no longer interested in marriage due to his condition. And he should have known it was trick.

In my opinion, the episode would have been better if Jack was forced into a dilemma and his protective nature came out to reveal his fakery. I'd have to use a little more imagination to come up with a better example, but if Jack was tricked into thinking that Janet was in trouble at some familiar location, surely Jack would come to her aid even if by doing so it would reveal he really didn't have amnesia. Since it's a sitcom, Janet could actually get into danger while faking her distress due to Jack's rush and somewhat klutzy manner.

I think it was a good episode but it was too bad that was the last episode of the series that wasn't serious.
