The Lucy Show: Lucy Carmichael made a bet with Art Linkletter on his program, The Art Linkletter Show (#100). Janice 06-27-2003, 02:48 AM I don't know if this qualifies, but on Seinfeld, Kramer got the actual entire set from the old Merv Griffin Show. He set up his own talk show right in his apartment. It was hilarious. Faith 06-27-2003, 05:10 AM 227- Wheel of Fortune AtlantaBravesFan29 07-26-2003, 07:12 PM Gimme A Break-Wheel Of Fortune Small Wonderian 07-26-2003, 07:20 PM Sister, Sister - a fake game show called "Slime Party" or something like that where Tia and Tamera went against the Olsen twins phoebe7165 07-26-2003, 09:55 PM Originally posted by jayman75 The Golden Girls also did the fictitious show "Grab that Dough!" (In another show, they were on Females are Fabulous.) Ted was auditioning for a game show called $50,000 Steeplechase. Laura was on Win as You Go, or maybe it was Play as You Go. I forget. (How embarrassing! :bonk: ) Sal 07-28-2003, 05:47 PM Originally posted by TVgen62 Laura was on Win as You Go, or maybe it was Play as You Go. I forget. (How embarrassing! :bonk: ) I just looked it up and it was indeed called "Pay As You Go". It was from the "Coast To Coast Big Mouth" episode which remains one of my Top 10 favorite sitcom episodes of all time. For those who love sitcoms from the Black and White era, here's a couple more to take note of: THE HONEYMOONERS---"The $99,000 Answer" Back then, the most popular game show on the air was "The $64,000 Question" and many shows couldn't resist spoofing it. In this episode, Ralph was nervous about appearing on a similar big money show so he asks Norton to help him. The show had to do with one's knowledge of popular music, yet Norton kept 'warming up' on the piano by always playing "Swanee River" which never failed to throw Ralph off. Naturally, when he appears on the show and its time to win the big prize, he hears "Swanee River" and the host asks him who wrote it. Ralph meekly replies "Ed Norton?" and leaves with nothing. A very funny episode! SGT.BILKO---"It's For The Birds" One of Bilko's men goes on a "$64,000 Question"-style game show to test his knowledge of birds and ends up in an isolation booth where he maintains radio contact with Bilko and the platoon by having his ears stuffed with cotton or a kleenex to hide the deception. This way, Bilko can feed him the answers from Fort Baxter without anyone getting wise. musicradio77 07-31-2003, 12:18 AM I remember the "Wheel of Fortune" episode on "The A-Team". In that episode, Hannible spun the wheel and solve the puzzle. After the puzzle ends, he tried to go shopping to buy something. That stuff was old. At the end of the episode, Hannible picked 4 letters and a vowel. Before the letters given out the R-S-T-L-N's and E's with 3 letters and a vowel, the letters I chose to refresh my memory was T-S-L-C-D and E. That was the overrated episode of "The A-Team" musicradio77 07-31-2003, 12:20 AM Originally posted by amp2k3 Sister, Sister - a fake game show called "Slime Party" or something like that where Tia and Tamera went against the Olsen twins "Sister, Sister" had their guest, the Olsen Twins. I haven't seen it when it is currently shown on the Disney Channel. I found some pics from that episode.
