View Full Version : Cindy was not related to Chrissy at all
TVFactFan 06-23-2003, 02:19 PM Cindy was a DISTANT relative of Chrissy. More like 4th cousins. They were too different to give the Cindy the last name Snow. I guess the producers forgot Chrissy was DINGY and not CLUSMY. Anyone also noticed that Cindy never talked about Chrissy again after she arrived? After the episode-"Chrissy's Cousin", the name Chrissy never came out of Cindy's mouth.
Sean Snow 06-23-2003, 02:23 PM Umm...you can be cousins with someone and be the exact opposite of them. And how could anyone significently involved with a show forget how one of their key characters acts?
As for not mentioning Chrissy, aside from the phone calls they didn't seem to mention her that much. Even when the Ropers visited, they didn't tell them what happened to Chrissy other than Cindy being her cousin. Or at least that's all I remember them telling the Ropers.

Well you see all cousins are not exactly the same. And they were similar. They were both childlike. It's like....Chrissy was really ditzy and sometimes clumsy (like in Handcuffed....) and Cindy was really clumsy and sometimes ditzy. And of course Cindy didn't talk about Chrissy. It was the time of Suzanne's contract stuff and I don't think the producers really wanted to mention Chrissy in scripts...

CHRISSY WAS NEVER CLUMSY ENTIRE TIME SHE WAS ON THREE"S COMPANY

She was on occasion...not nearly as much as Cindy. There was the time when she accidently nearly sent a chicken out of the kitchen window in "The New Landlord." And she was pretty klutzy in "Handcuffed." O_O

YES SHE WAS. REMEMBER IN HANDCUFFED SHE SPILLED THE DRINK ON JACK'S DATE. AND THEN WHEN SHE WAS ON THE PHONE WITH JAY SHE GOT JACK CAUGHT IN THE KITCHEN AND GOT HIS HAND CAUGHT IN THE DOOR?
Mmhmm. And besides, I said sometimes. And remember in "The New Landlord" she threw the chicken (or maybe it was a turkey, don't remember) out the window? Ha....

So? Not all people are alike even if they are related. Idiot.

Well i just looked at the episode New Landlord, and Jack stumpled into Janet and Janet bumped into Chrissy which led to the chicken going out of the window. So it was not Chrissy it was the clumsiness of Jack. That's why I didn't understand why Jack was mad at Chrissy when the chicken went out the window. And in the episode Handcuffed, Chrissy was not clusmy, it was Jack again, who move his arm and it just so happen that was the hand holding the glass of wine. TRy again Sean-LOL

Well the point of this thread wasn't to prove Chrissy is klutzy...so yeah. I'm just saying that no matter how different Chrissy and Cindy are, they could still be closely related. And to quote Michael Ross, "Klutziness is, in its own way, a little close to ineptness, which is a little close to naivete, which is a little close to dumbness, if you get my drift."
GoldenFamilyTies 06-23-2003, 04:04 PM There are people I know who are the exact opposite of their SIBLINGS, so this thread is almost ridiculous! They were different, so what?

Sitcom Analyzer knows this. He's just trying to act stupid again.

I stand by my statement, Cindy was not Chrissy's Cousin.

I like u too
Czas na Zywiec 08-28-2003, 08:10 PM Well, I finally saw Three's Company a few nights ago, for the first time in years. And I have one thing to say.
Chrissy: "Jack, you don't have to look like each other to be related."
So there SOLOMON. Even Chrissy says that you don't have to look like your cousin to be related. So now you have no way to prove that Chrissy and Cindy weren't cousins.
For anyone who wants to know, the quote is from the episode where Chrissy gets handcuffed to Jack when Chrissy's cousin, the police officer, left his handcuffs.
:D

That cop was more believable as Chrissy's relative than Cindy
aterzino 08-29-2003, 05:12 PM It doesn't really matter. The bottom line is that they were cousins.

Well they must didn't like each other since they never talked on the phone-LOL
Janice 08-29-2003, 05:32 PM Not many people bear a striking resemblance to their cousins.
Solomon, this isn't going to turn into one of those Maude/Good Times spinoff things, is it? ;)

LOL-NO. I'm just saying the producers could have let Chrissy talk to Cindy once on the phone

That would have made sense, but remember, in sitcom land, we have to assume that the characters are doing things off camera as well.

But Chrissy never asked Janet on the phone, HOw is Cindy?-LOL

Again, you can assume that Chrissy called at other times that we didn't see and talked to Jack, Cindy, or anyone for that matter.
Brian Damage 08-29-2003, 06:20 PM Why oh Why do you purposely start ridiculous arguements. Do you realize these are sitcoms we are talking abou...NOT REAL LIFE!?!

Jack tripper went to the bathroom on certain episodes
Brian Damage 08-29-2003, 06:55 PM How do you know? All you heard was a toilet flush, that doesn't necessasarily mean he did the deed.
Janice 08-29-2003, 07:01 PM And I'm referring to all sitcoms.

I can think of 3 characters
Al Bundy
Archie Bunker
Rudy Huxtable
All of them went to the bathroom in a episode

Now you are talking like a FOOL. Why would they show a character on a sitcom actually going to the bathroom????? I'M TALKING ABOUT SEEING CHARACTERS WALKING INSIDE THE BATHROOM AND SHUTTING THE DOOR!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but the point that you've been trying to make is that you didn't see something therefore it didn't happen. I was just making a point that that theory of yours is ridiculous.

Cashodeen 08-30-2003, 04:21 AM LOL, this thread stinks. I agree it was SO lame that Chrissy never had a tag scene with Cindy or that they never did mention eachother when they'd talk. But I don't see how that, AND the fact that they aren't alike means they are not related. If it was said they were related, then they were related. THE END.
Mr.PPV! 08-30-2003, 06:05 PM Actually Chrissy was a little clumsy at work when she kept bumping into her boss!
