I know this question must have been asked many times before; but what exactly is Ripple?? Also what is Apple Jack? Fred seemed to like both very much!!

RIPPLE is a liquor. It's hard to find now if even impossible. It came in the same kind of bottle that fred usually picks up. purple label.
now apple jack..thats another story. seems that he had it in the fridge. I remember him saying" i'm going to have some warm apple jack with mine." he mixed it with his tea. he said it makes you sweat. maybe apple snapps or some cheap liquor with an apple blend.

I found this on the internet just now:

"Apple jack is made by fermenting apple cider until you have "hard" cider, then going an extra step and concentrating the alcohol by chilling the hard cider in the freezer for a number of days, then pouring off the unfrozen part, which is really potent."

Now we know!!
