The photo gallery sounds like a good idea.

You will still be able to post attachments on here. The reason that you get a link of the photo instead of it automatically showing up is that it causes the server load to go way up and slows the whole message board down. This happens especially when multiple people view a thread such as the siggy thread, they all view the attachment at the same time.

The photo galleries will be divided into sections like the boards are now. Your username and password will work on there since they will be integrated.

Thats what Im assuming yes, because when theyre posted, it takes forever to load and slows down the server especially if a bunch of people are looking @ the same thread/attachment. Yeah - I REALLY miss not having images in our siggies! :crying: I had a kickass banner I made for my website, too, and I like it better than the text link in my siggie.

They've been delayed, I haven't had much time to work on them lately.. They will still be coming at some point, but I won't announce any official date as I've already missed 2 proposed dates. They will be open when I feel they are somewhat complete and there's a good amount of photos available.

i am so lost. what kind of photo galleries is this gonna be? like what are the pictures gonna be.. or whatever.

Okay, I really have a strong question that I would really like to be answered. Um, look I know the boards and this site prob. cost a pretty penny to keep up and running. Wouldn't these picture galleries make the cost just skyrocket? This site isn't about to become a paying website, is it? If the galleries are the thing that makes it become a paying website, I would rather (and I'm sure others) wouldn't want it. I would like to know right off the bat if this will happen. I don't want it to be some big surprise if the day after the galleries come up, if I come in here and see a sticky post saying 'Starting October 1st, this site will charge 20 bucks per month to visit and post on the message boards.' This isn't gonna happen is it?

I used to lurk on a message board, and I posted there a few times and the site was free. Then they added all these bonuses and the administrators didn't tell the members about the website would from now on start charging members. And that created the biggest uproar ever when the info leaked out. I mean it, there were fights going on right and left.

So is this gallery gonna make it a charging site?

And I'm not trying to stir up shi* with this question. If my post starts a fight up, I didn't intend for a fight to start. I'm just wondering. Thank you.

I understand completely what it is. Its a gallery-- divided into the sets of shows, etc. But Im interested with Jenny's question. Good question Jenny. :thumbsup:

There will never be any charges to access the boards, sites, or photo galleries.. although those who donate may get extra privilidges on the next version of the board, but no there will never be any charges.. the banners and popunders are really starting to do pretty well and covering the costs now.

Yes of course, you will be able to contribute and upload your own photos - that is the major plus and what will make the whole program that much better.. it is integrated with this message board so you can use your same username and password.

Yay! AKA and Marlene can post their library of pics on there. Both of them post the best images.
