okay, i added two characters, katie (another main girl that is from teh bronx and an old friend of Jo who is just as tough) and Lynzee who is an annoying lil friend of tootie's from a drom across campus.
*Scene Mr. Parker and Mrs. Garret are sitting on the couch talking*
Parker- Well, what should we do Edna? I mean, should we go that far?
Mrs.G- I don’t know. I still can’t believe that they would do something like that. I am actually, well, gee, are you sure it was them?
Parker- Well, I am 99.9 percent sure. Is that sure enough?
Mrs.G- Well… (Gets interrupted because Tootie and Lynn-z walk in)
Tootie- Hey Mrs. Garret, hey Mr. Parker!
Lynn-z- Hi Mrs. Garret, Mr. Parker!
Parker- Good afternoon girls. Well, I better get back to my office. We’ll talk again soon. *Leaves*
*Tootie and Lynn-z both sit down by Mrs. Garret*
Tootie- Well, Mrs. Garret, how are you?
Mrs.G- hush… *uneasily* fine Tootie. And you? Uuhh
Tootie- Great! Class was great today!
Lynn-z- yeah! It was! Uh huh!
Mrs.G- Where are the others?
Tootie- Natalie and Blair were kept late after last period biology.
Mrs.G- Why is that?
Lynn-z- They didn’t complete their homework.
Mrs.G- Why is that?
Lynn-z- They had dates. *Mrs. Garret rolls her eyes*
Mrs.G- Jo & Katie?
Tootie- I don’t know where they went.
Lynn-z- Yeah! They ran right out of class after the bell rang.
*Mr. Parker walks in holding Jo and Katie by their collars looking very upset*
Parker- *To Jo and Katie* AND NEXT TIME, THINK! I HAVE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH YOU TWO PUNKS! AND KEEP PUT OF TROUBLE! *Pants heavily*
Mrs.G- What happened? Are you alright?
Jo- Well…
Parker- I’ll handle this one Joanna Marie.
Jo- Don’t call me that, Charles!
Mrs.G- Jo. Let him talk. * Mr. Parker shoves the girls onto the couch*
Parker- Thank you Edna.
Katie- Well.
Parker- KATHERINE ELIZABETH!
Lynn-z- Elizabeth?
Tootie- Elizabeth?
Mrs.G- Elizabeth?
Katie- GUYS! Stop!
Tootie- Sorry
Katie- What Mr. Parker?
Mrs.G- Mr. Parker, what happened?
Katie- Yeah Mr. Parker? What is there to say? Are you going to keep them waiting? Go on! Tell them the whole story! Just as it happened! Go on! Your audience is waiting like always. Or do you wanna wait until Blair and Natalie arrive? The bigger the audience the better! Don’t you think? Huh? Huh? Go ahead!
Parker- Ok. Then-
Jo- Don’t spoil the surprise!
Parker- DON’T YOU ACT LIKE THAT JOANNA MARIE!
Jo- It’s just Jo!
Parker- DON’T YOU ACT LIKE THAT, JO! BELIEVE ME! I CAN EXPELL YOU FROM EASTLAND ACADEMY! I CAN DO THAT!
Jo- you think I care Mr. Parker? Gee! Some people these days. My old public school was better than this. They didn’t yell at you for accidentally dropping your pencil!
Parker- Well, you were the one out on the sidewalk talking to guys!
Jo- So I was talking to guys? Big deal!
Parker- There were around 12 of them
Katie- So? We were talking!
Parker- Jo, Katie, you must take me for a fool. You were all over each other, half of them were smoking weed, and you say you were JUST talking? You think I’m that stupid!
Jo- No, you are stupider than I thought!
Parker- *steaming red by now* JOANNA MARIE!
Jo- what?
Parker- I, I, I, I am going to have to call your mother.
Jo- Oh, you think my mom is gonna care?
Mrs.G- MR. PARKER? WHAT HAPPENED THAT YOU ARE SO MAD ABOUT?
Parker- They started fighting! 14 juniors, and 5 little kids, like 3rd graders. The older kids were beating them.
Mrs.G- Jo, Katie. For heaven’s sake, I have had it up to here with you girls getting in to trouble constantly, especially for beating people up and fighting!
Katie- We were ticked off at them!
Mrs.G- What did they do to you?
Jo- They were kicking our legs. Look at these bruises! *Pulls up pant legs. You can see lots of black and blue marks and bleeding scabs*
Mrs.G- Did they really do that?
Katie- Yeah! *Pulls up her pant legs* Mr. P, we were holding hands, with our boyfriends; we weren’t on top of them or anything. And, This one little girl was all over my boyfriend Jonathon too! She was on his back and stuff. The little…*Mrs. Garret cuts her off right before she says something bad*
Mrs.G- KATIE!
Katie- I wasn’t gonna say.
Mrs.G- Yes you were Katie!
Katie- Ok, ok. Sorry. *Blair and Natalie walk in*
Parker- *to Jo and Katie* No more of this or you both will be expelled from Eastland Academy! Read me?
Katie- Ok!
Parker- Jo?
Jo- Ok. *Mr. Parker turns to Natalie and Blair*
Parker- as for you two, no more incompletes, or you will be in so much trouble. No second warnings in 10th and 11th grade. I shouldn’t have to keep reminding you! *Storms out of room furious*
Mrs.G- Girls, I am tired of having to go through this with you.
Jo- You don’t have to anymore. I’m moving out. I am going back to the Bronx, to my old school, to my mom’s where I can be poor in peace.
Katie- Me too. It has been nice knowing you guys for this half of a school year. But, I am going back to my dad’s. *Jo and Katie leave*
Tootie- Mrs. Garret? What do we do?
Mrs.G- They aren’t. They always say they are leaving. They always end up coming back or never leaving.
Lynn-z- Good point.
Mrs.G- Blair, Natalie, can you girls go somewhere else? Like up to your room to do your homework!
Blair- Ok, Mrs. Garret.
Natalie- yeah, come on Tootie, Lynn-z.
Mrs.G- Not so fast. Tootie, Lynn-z, you have to stay here. Mr. Parker and I need to talk to you.
Tootie- Uh, oh. *Mr. Parker walked in on that*
Parker- I couldn’t have said it better myself.
Lynn-z- Mr. P what is this all about?
Parker- Well, it seems that cocaine has been on school grounds. It has been reported that the two of you have been dealing it? Is this true?
Lynn-z- No. I would never deal drugs.
Tootie- yeah. Who told you this Mr. Parker?
Parker- Nancy Olsen. Sophomore.
Tootie- She only said that because she is trying to cover it up. Her boyfriend Roger is a dealer and has been giving it to her to sell for him. She tried to sell it to us but we just went looking for you to tell you about this. She must have reached you to lie about us first.
Parker- So? Still, you didn’t come get me!
Mrs.G- MR. PARKER! NANCY HAS BEEN DOING THIS! THEY TRIED TO FIND YOU, AND YOU THINK THEY’RE THE ONES TO BE HELD IN CONTEMPT! FOR GOODNESS SAKES!
Parker- Sorry girls. Sometimes I loose my temper. I am going to go find Nancy for questioning. How about the 5 of us meet tomorrow in my office to talk about this. Tootie, Lynn-z, Edna, Nancy, and myself.
Mrs.G- Sounds good with me.
Lynn-z- ok
Tootie- sure.
Parker- ok. Get some rest girls. Tomorrow we will meet after classes. Is that okay?
Tootie- Fine with me Mr. Parker.
Lynn-z- Ok.
Parker- ok. See you then, girls.
Mrs.G- bye, Mr. Parker. *Mr. Parker leaves*
Mrs.G- So you girls are completely innocent?
Tootie- YES! Do you think we would deal cocaine?
Mrs.G- Ok, then. Girls, go upstairs, do your homework, and then wash up and get into bed. It is kind of late.
Lynn-z- Ok, Mrs.G. I better be back to my dorm before I get into more trouble. See you guys.
Tootie- bye Lynn-z.
Mrs.G- See ya Lynn-z. *Lynn-z leaves*
Tootie- I am gonna get ready for bed and do my homework, see ya Mrs. Garret.
Mrs.G- Good night Tootie. *Tootie exits*
*New scene- girls’ bedroom. All the girls are in there*
Jo- I don’t know who the heck Mr. Parker thinks he is, yelling at us when those stupid little 3rd graders came looking for trouble. He doesn’t have to threaten us with that stupid lame old excuse, “I can expel you.” Like we would care.
Katie- I know. He thinks he’s scaring us. Oh, Mr. Parker, good job.
Blair- *looks up from her text book* I would hate to be you guys always getting into trouble, beating up on little kids. Getting expelled would be awful! Eastland has the best standards! Besides, public schools are the messiest and have the worst textbooks and aren’t clean!
Jo- The Bronx may be the Bronx, but our school was very clean. You have never been to a public school before. You have always been to this stupid place.
Katie- Yeah, Blair. We’re having trouble affording coming here anyways. You are rich; you wouldn’t have any trouble paying the yearly cost.
Blair- I’m assuming that if I offered to lend you two the money you would break my…
Katie and Jo- Both of them!
Blair- I didn’t offer! I just don’t know why you are being so hard on Mr. Parker! Headmasters are cool.
Tootie- You can say that again Blair, you had a crush on Mr. Bradley in 7th grade!
*Everyone starts laughing except Blair*
Blair- Don’t even bring that up!
Natalie- Too late!
Blair- I am going downstairs to the lounge to finish my homework. *Leaves*
Katie- Lets just pack and leave. I hate it here, it is too, ugh! Too prissy!
Tootie- Whatever.
Natalie- I can’t believe you guys! Why would you want to leave here? Your friends! Mrs. G! Mr. Parker?
Jo- Natalie, we cannot get this through your stupid head! MR. PARKER IS THE WHOLE PROBLEM!
Katie- yea, it’s not our fault little kids are such idiots.
Tootie- HEY!
Jo- She didn’t mean you, Tootie!
Tootie- How can you be so sure?
Jo- Shut up Tootie. We hate it here. Good-bye.
Katie- It’s been so nice knowing you, for these 4 ½ months. (Laughs quietly)
(Jo and Katie, with bags at hand, walk out of the room)
(Tootie and Natalie stare at each other nervously)
Tootie- Oh my god, Natalie. I think, they, well, actually meant it this time.
Natalie- Yea, I know. They looked kinda serious. (Scene fades into lounge the next morning)
Blair- Good---- morning Mrs. Garrett! How was your sleep last night?
Mrs. G- Fine I guess. Um, yea, fine, I think.
(Natalie and Tootie come down)
Mrs.G- Okay, now that everyone is down here, I need to talk to you, about, Jo and Katie. They left this morning around 2:30am. Okay, their ‘friends’ and ‘boyfriends’ were outside waiting for them.
Natalie- well, what happened?
Mrs. Garret- Well, they left.
Tootie- Duh. What did you hear?
Mrs. Garret- what you hear, what I tell you, must never be repeated to anyone else. Understand, Tootie!
Tootie- Yes, mam.
Mrs. Garret- Some teachers heard ‘the gang’ was going back to the alleys of the Bronx; where they supposedly ‘live’.
Tootie- wow that is a broken down place isn’t it?
Mrs. Garret- Not in the whole place Tootie, just their part. But, the thing we’re all scared of, is, their part of the Bronx, where they are going, that’s where all of the bad stuff happens.
Natalie- Like what?
Mrs. Garret- Fights, shooting, murdering, drug dealing, raping, assaulting, shoplifting, robbing. That answers your question?
Natalie- yea, thanks.
Blair- what can we do about it? We’re just a small little organization.
Mrs. Garret- Not really Blair. We have almost the whole entire faculty, the board, the students, us.
Blair- but what are we doing? Why not just call the navy or the marines or the FBI or something?
Tootie- Because, Blair, the marines and the FBI can’t do anything for this. Let’s just call the cops.
Natalie- But, Tootie, I’m sure they aren’t as bad as they seem.
Mrs. Garret- Actually Natalie, they are, this so called ‘gang’, has caused a lot of trouble over there, but not for a while. We aren’t going to turn their gang in, because, they are being good right now, just a few drugs passing through their fingers, and, a little shoplifting, no big deal to what they’ve done before. They’re only trying to save their girlfriends.
Natalie- yea, but, still.
Blair- Mrs. Garret, this is all very fascinating, but we have to go to class.
Mrs. Garret- No classes today Blair.
Blair- For just us? YES!
Mrs. Garret- Everyone.
Blair- Oh.
Tootie- Then, how can Lynn-z, me, you, and Mr. Parker have our ‘talk’ after classes, if there, well, are no classes?
Mrs. Garret- we are working something out. This is more important right now. He can talk to this so-called Roger person by himself.
Tootie- Okay.
Natalie- What do we do now?
Mrs. Garret- Mr. Parker is going to stop by…. (Looks around and Mr. Parker walks in) Wow, that man is amazing; he knows when I need to talk to him!!
Mr. Parker- Thank you, thank you. I am amazing, aren’t I?
Natalie- Come on, Mr. Parker, we care about Jo and Katie, and we need to get to them to save them. Please, stop messing around. I am not trying to be rude or offend you.
Mrs. Garret- Natalie is right Mr. Parker. We really need to get to the bottom of t—(gets cut off when the phone rings)
(Natalie walks over to the phone and picks it up)
Natalie- Hello? (Pauses) Hey, are you okay? (Pauses) Oh good! They didn’t do anything to you did they? (Pauses) Okay, okay, sorry. I’ll stop. (Pauses) Sure, let me talk to her. (Pause) Hey, Blinky. (Still talks)
Tootie- Blinky? That’s Katie! Mrs. Garret! (Mrs. Garret runs over to the phone and takes it from Natalie!)
Mrs. Garret- Katie! Katie? Katie! You and Jo and your friends get your butts back here this instant! (Pauses) Okay, see you then. (Pauses) Okay, bye for now. (Hangs up) (To everyone else) Well, that was Jo and Katie. They are on their way home.
Mr. Parker- what the heck?
Blair-Yea! Why didn’t they just stay if they hated it here so much?
Mrs. Garret- we’ll find out when they get here, they said they called from Katie’s boyfriend Jonathon’s phone. They should be home in an hour or so. They were on a train.
Mr. Parker- when they get back here, they are going to get in so much trouble!
Mrs. Garret- Now, Charles! We have to hear them out. At least they are coming back. Just, let them talk. Let’s just sit here calmly and wait for them. (Everyone sits down and does something) (1 hour later, Jo and Katie and their friends come in)
Jo- Yo, we’re back.
Mr. Parker- Kids! I am so mad right now!
Mrs. Garret- Mr. Parker! I can’t believe you, we already talked about this!
Mr. Parker- sorry. (Sits down) (Gets back up)
Mrs. Garret- Please all of you, all, um, 7 of you, come in, sit down. (The kids all come in and sit down.) Now listen. I want each of you to tell me your name and how you came to know Jo and Katie, and how old you are. (Jo and Katie look at each other and roll their eyes and sigh) You, *points to a person* you go first.
Becka- Um, my name is Becka Adams and I am Jo and Blinky’s friend from school, and I am 16.
Jonathon- I am Jon Magee and I’m 17 as well as Blinky’s boyfriend.
Kylie- I’m Kylie Blanc and I’m 17 and I’m Jo and Blinky’s friend from school.
Jimmy- Uh, I’m Jimmy Phillips and I’m 18, and I am Jo’s boyfriend.
Tiger- Um, my name is Tiger O’ Neal, I’m 17 and friends with Jo and Blinky.
Mrs. Garret- Well, I am Mrs. Garret and I am older than you are, and I am like their, guardian.
Mr. Parker- I am Mr. Parker, the headmaster.
Blair- Mrs. Garret do you want us to stay down here?
Mrs. Garret- yes Blair, please, you three stay down here.
Natalie- okay.
Mrs. Garret- I am going to say this as calm as possible. You have done something that is very wrong. Your heart was in the right place but your mind obviously wasn’t. You have to understand that kidnapping your friends and/or girlfriends is wrong! You had the whole entire staff, faculty, and the students, well, everyone worried sick! We all thought that Jo and Katie were killed somehow back in New York City. We thought that somehow, something bad would happen to them and we were freaked out thinking we would never see them again!
Jonathon- We’re sorry Mrs. Garret, we just didn’t want anything happening to the people we care the most about. We are all pretty much one family, the 7 of us.
Jimmy- Yeah, we just care about Jo and Blinky so much *puts arm around Jo and looks at her straight in the eye* and were scared after they called us the other night telling us what happened as a consequence after the 3rd graders came being stupid.
Becka- Yea. We’re sorry Mrs. Garret and Mr. Parker and everybody. We were just looking out for our best friends in the whole wide world.
Mrs. Garret- That’s what I mean, your hearts were in the right place, but your minds weren’t. So listen, we aren’t going to turn you in to the cops or anything, we are just well pretty much letting you off the hook with a warning. Don’t go looking for trouble. But, if you would like to stay for breakfast with us, we would be happy to put out a few extra plates for the 5 of you.
Tiger- Sure. We’d love it. I could really go for some real food.
Kylie- Yea, tell me about it.
Mrs. Garret- Great! So, Natalie, Tootie, Blair, would you 3 mind getting breakfast ready while the rest of us get acquainted more and talk about what has happened over the last few days.
Tootie- Sure. We live to serve.
*The three girls exit*
Mrs. Garret- Well, what was the whole big deal with leaving and coming back a day later?
Jo- The whole reason we left was to get away from Mr. Parker, sorry Mr. Parker.
Mr. Parker- Untaken!
Katie- We just needed to see our friends again, and a change of scenery. When you come from a place like that to a place like this you want to go back to the first place every once in a while to see your family and friends. We felt homesick and lonely and depressed.
Mrs. Garret- Well, I can understand that. So, people, friends of Jo and “Blinky” Tell me more about you.
Tiger- My really, really, real name is Melvin Jeremiah O’ Neal, but I was known for having striped hair and a striped bike in elementary school so everyone started calling me Tiger. It just stuck with me.
Jonathon- All we really did when we got back home was sit around in the alleys and talk and hang and goof on people. It’s what we usually do when we get together. Nothing bad happened. We all stayed safe in our normal alley.
Kylie- yea, I mean, like, we don’t have anything to do with drugs anymore. That is so overrated.
Becka- yea. Sometimes we have an occasional drink or smoke, but we have learned to control ourselves.
Mrs. Garret- Oh really?
Becka- Oh we’re just messing with cho’ head Mrs. Garret.
Jimmy- yea, we don’t do that anymore. We used to be a gang of 15-year-old bank robbing, pot smoking, shoplifting, drug dealing, idiots.
Tiger- yea, we have been in jail or with the cops enough times to know what is wrong and what is right.
Mr. Parker- I hope so. That stuff can ruin you for life.
Jonathon- Tell me about it, I had this friend, who had a friend, who was friends with a friends friend, who died from smoking too much pot, well, too much of everything.
Kylie- yea, he was a sweet guy too.
Tiger- Yea, well we can’t do anything about how stupid he was though. It was his own fault that he died.
Kylie- yea, but he was still a sweet guy.
Jimmy- He was pretty cool. (Blair walks in with her apron in her hand)
Blair- Breakfast is ready, ‘all.
Mr. Parker- Thank you Blair. Well, let’s eat. I am starving.
Mrs. Garret- Come on everyone. I’ll show you where we wash up. (Everyone follows her) (Scene* dining room. Seating* Mr. Parker at one end, Mrs. Garret at the other, Jo and Jimmy, Tiger and Kylie, and Blair sit on one side, Becka, Tootie, Natalie, Jonathon and Katie sit on the other side. Doings* everyone is eating food)
Tiger- This is great everyone! It is so much better than what we have been having lately.
Mr. Parker- what have you been having lately, Zebra?
Tiger- It’s Tiger.
Mr. Parker- Oh, I’m sorry son.
Tiger- It’s okay Mr. Parker, happens all the time. I’ve been called donkey, zebra, leopard, cheetah, jaguar, even toad boy sometimes.
Mr. Parker- *chortles* Toad Boy? That’s kind of strange? What kind of idiot person would call you Toad Boy?
Tiger- My parents.
Mr. Parker- Oh. *Looks at plate and goes back to eating* Erm,
Tiger- All we’ve been eating lately is pizza, pizza, pizza, at this pizza parlor called Pizza-Rific. The pizza is good, but you get sick of this pizza that they sell at pizza parlor called Pizza-Rific after awhile. Mmmmmmmm, pizza. That pizza is pizzarific.
Jo- Shut up Melvin.
Tiger- Sorry. The pizza is just so pizzarific.
Jo- I know it is, Melvin. Shut up
Tiger- *Goes back to eating*
Mr. Parker- So, is everybody healthy?
*Everyone looks at him and stares*
Mrs. Garret- Charles.
Mr. Parker- *Looks over* Sorry.
*New scene- lounge. Everyone is talking*
Mrs. Garret- Well, kids; it was very nice meeting you all. I just hope everything is cleared up and this doesn’t happen again. *Smiles and laughs*
Jonathon- Well, if they do happen to come back again, don’t worry, we will take good care of them, won’t we Jimmy?
Jimmy- Yep! We were sure will! *High fives Jon*
*Jo and Katie look at each other and laugh*
Becka- Well, it was nice meeting the rest of you. We better get back to the Bronx.
Kylie- Yea! Traffic! You know . . .
Mr. Parker- Oh, yes, we understand.
*Everyone says bye and hugs are exchanged, and the gang leaves*
Mr. Parker- Tootie! Get Lynnzee and get in my office in 10 minutes, okay? We have so issues to sort out.
Tootie- Okay. *Tootie Leaves*
Mrs. Garret- Girls; Jo, Katie, Blair, Nat, you better go do something. The rest of us have some things to discuss.
Katie- Righto. We will be upstairs.
*Mrs. Garret and Mr. Parker walk out together*
*New Scene- Mr. Parker’s office. Mr. Parker is sitting at his desk and there are 5 chairs across from it. Mrs. Garret and a young girl and a young boy around Tootie and Lynnzee’s age are sitting in the chairs. * *Tootie and Lynnzee walk in looking quite nervous and sit down in the two remaining chairs*
Mr. Parker- Okay, we have a problem here. One word. There is cocaine on school grounds and we don’t know who is dealing it.
Lynnzee- *Counts on Fingers* Actually, that isn’t one word, it is 14.
Mr. Parker- What ever! Nancy here, has reported that it was Tootie and Lynnzee, but they said it wasn’t them, that it was Nancy and her boyfriend Roger. Roger, here, supposedly is a dealer and has done some strange things in the past. *Everyone is looking at Nancy and Roger now, who both look quite upset and look like the both want to cry* Nancy and Roger are always being talked about on campus, the news of their relationship is always hot news I see. I think Tootie and Lynnzee have helped out a lot in that department.
*Tootie and Lynnzee look at each other and smile*
Mr. Parker- All I want to know is who . . .. Did . . . it . . .. Now!
Nancy- Okay! Okay! It is us! It’s all us!
Roger- We are sorry! Just let us go! We didn’t mean for all for all of this to happen!
*By this point, the cute couple is together on their knees in front of Mr. Parker’s desk crying and screaming.*
Mr. Parker- Well that was easier than I thought it would be.
*Mrs. Garret smiles at Mr. Parker in a funny way.*
Mr. Parker- Tootie, Lynnzee, you can leave now.
*Tootie and Lynnzee walk out*
the end
its kinda gay, i know. lol. u like? hehe
*Scene Mr. Parker and Mrs. Garret are sitting on the couch talking*
Parker- Well, what should we do Edna? I mean, should we go that far?
Mrs.G- I don’t know. I still can’t believe that they would do something like that. I am actually, well, gee, are you sure it was them?

Lynn-z- Hi Mrs. Garret, Mr. Parker!

*Tootie and Lynnzee walk out*
the end
its kinda gay, i know. lol. u like? hehe
