I agree with those, but I think Will and Chrissy were both funny. I've only seen Mork once, so I can't comment on him.

Well here's a shocker for you...I'm not you! I don't think there's a rule that says I have to like the same things as you. And I highly doubt that you would find everything funny that I do.

I never really found Fonzie to be be funny. I just saw him as the 'tough guy' wannabe, but ya know, he just never quite got there. Just because you can hit a jukebox and make it play, doesn't make you cool. :p

Well, if your idea of comedy is Roseanne than I am absolutely sure that we don't have the same taste in comedy ;) . I'm not saying that you have to like Diane or Cheers for that matter, but I do think that she was funny. Ofcourse you don't have to like the same things I do, that would just be silly, right?:rolleyes2

Yes, it certainly would be silly, but it very much seemed like that was what you were implying.

Well I beg your pardon for getting the wrong impression, but as you see above I said that I found her very funny, I did not say "why don't you like her?" nor did I insult you. Again, my apologies if you thought that I was attacking you or your taste in comedy :) .

Elyse Keaton - Family Ties. Meredith Baxter Birney is more of a dramatic actress not a sitcom actress. I would had loved to have seen what she could have done with Elyse Keaton if Family Ties was an one hour drama, as it was originally intended to be. Her moments when she showed more dramatic flair was more natural than her attempts at comedy.

I'm sorry if I offend anyone but I think all of these characters were trying to be funny but were actually not *that* funny or amusing:

Gabe Kotter: Welcome Back, Kotter
Ralph Malph: Happy Days
Dr. Robert Hartley: The Bob Newhart Show
Maxwell Smart: Get Smart
Herman Munster: The Munster
Philip Drummond: Diff'rent Strokes

I forgot about Mr. Kotter-never funny. But Mr. Drummond did generate some laughs. Check out other post-Characters who did not try to be funny but was. I think i can add Drummnd to that list.

Let me also add that I did not think Hayden's daughter Kelly on Coach fit the mold of the show. Neither did Lori Beth on Happy Days.

Rats! I went through three pages and thought I was going to be the first person to mention Gloria, and I find, you, the last poster, steals it from me! ;) Gloria was the first one that came to mind. Then Cliff Huxtable.

REALLY suprised to see you put him. Why do you watch the show? Although I must say, Will stopped being funny in the later years.

(BTW, I miss your old name. I quoted you so much I was starting to type SOLOMON really fast. LOL.)

I'm just ticked off about how much they play the Cosby Show to death on Nick At Night. rrr!

I can't think of any characters who weren't funny, but were supposed to be. In all of the shows I watch, all of the characters are funny in their own way....

someone mentioned not thinking that anyone on "Scrubs" is funny. Personally, I disagree. I loooove that show. All the characters crack me up. I sit there and laugh practically beginning to end when I watch that show. hehe. I especially love J.D., Elliott, and um.. that doctor guy who's always giving JD a hard time.. I forgot his name. (I don't watch the show every week)... the guy who plays him was in the movie "Office Space" if that makes it easier for you guys to figure out who i'm talking about. lol.

Oh yeah. I was still here regularly when you changed your name. Not long after that I stopped coming on very much so I never took the chance to comment on the change until yesterday. People seem to change their names a lot on here, but I guess it's harder for me to adapt when someone goes from a real first name to something entirely different. Of course, if I hadn't stopped coming here, I would be used to it by now.

Will Smith not funny-no way, he's freaking hilarious, I cannot get through a Fresh Prince episode without cracking up at him and Carlton(Alfonso Ribero)

I never thought Rebecca on Cheers was funny, nor Cliff.
