Happy Days

(the beginning of) Chapter 1

Cruising down the early morning streets of Milwaukee, the motorcyclist rode a Harley Davison. The rider wore boots, blue jeans, a black motorcycle helmet and a leather jacket. With a sudden burst of acceleration, the cyclist popped a wheely and rode it out for two city blocks. Milwaukee streets were bare at two in the morning. The driver leaned into a turn and continued down this street. The gloomy streetlights of the city lit the way through the brisk air. Pulling up into a house driveway, the driver shut the bike off and dismounted.
The house key was carefully slid into the lock of the back door and turned. Still wearing the helmet, the man quietly closed the door behind him and started his way across the tile of the kitchen floor. There was a quick stop at the refrigerator to take up a bucket of chicken. There was a sudden thumping sound and the kitchen lights came on. He stood up straight and when he closed the door, he was face to face with the Fonz.
The Fonz's hair was perfect as usual - not a hair out of place. He was in a bathrobe and was holding a pot of spaghetti and a thin loaf of uncut bread. "What, are you nutso?" Fonzie hit him over the helmet with the loaf of bread. The loaf broke on impact. He closed the refrigerator door. "It's two in the morning. I cooked spaghetti."
"Sorry Dad," a voice echoed from inside the helmet.
Fonzie put the pot on the table. "Come here." He pointed to the floor beside himself. After his son did as he asked, he continued. "I can't hear you through the helmet, Danny. Take the helmet off."
Danny set the chicken down on the table and did as he asked, revealing a black eye.
"Danny, what happened?"
"Nothing, Dad. I fell off the bike."
"Fell off the bike… it looks like you fell into someone's fist." Fonzie's voice was more of concern than that of anger. "Let me take a look." He put his hand up to lift Danny's chin, but Danny pulled away.
"It's nothing. Really."
"I thought I taught you better than to rumble." Fonzie's stern voice quickly faded. "Did you win?"
"I…"
"Never mind about that." Fonz cut him off. "You shouldn't rumble. That is always the last resort."

:woohoo:

One question Pat-- is the trivia going to be like last year where the first person to answer correctly gets the point, or will everyone who answers correctly score?

Good Question ¤MsConanOBrien¤!!!

Here's the thing. If I set it up that everyone with the correct answer gets the points, many people could copy other replies and could accumulate enough points to place infront of die hard fans like yourself. So for that reason and that reason only, points only go to the first one to post the correct answer.

Here's the catch. What I meant by "You never know if your car may blow a tire or overheat.", I mean that I may set up round points like this:

EXAMPLE
1 correct answer gets you 100 miles in the race
2 correct answers gets you 200 miles
3 correct answers gets you 300 miles
4 correct answers gets you 200 miles (car problems)
5 correct answers gets you 110 miles (don't push your car this hard)
6 correct answers gets you 70 miles (car is overheating)
and so on...

Thus one person would not answer more than three questions or they would start loosing points. This stops one person from taking the entire round.

The begining of the race will not have too many obsticals. But...

Keep your eyes on that road, racers.

In chapter 18, Fonzie asks Richie: "What ever happend to Chuck?"

Richie's reply is better than I thought I was able to come up with.

We currently have 4 participants and three winning positions available.

Join the contest now.

2Trivia4Me is back with a wild race stretching from New York to Los Angeles. (Racers advance by answering trivia correctly). That's 2,826.3 miles of trivia. What a way to spend July of 2003. Participants need to register to be able to qualify for the prizes. Registration is free. I cover all costs of winnings (even S&H). How fun is that?

How would you like to sit infront of your computer every minute of July 2003?
I don't expect you to. There are only certain days in July I post trivia and I let only the ones registered know. I also narrow down the times.
Time is running out. Get your car or motorcycle to New York for the start of the race. July is around the corner.
SEE THE STICKY POSTING AT THE TOP OF THIS MESSAGE BOARD FOR MORE DETAILS AND THE E-MAIL INFORMATION NEEDED TO REGISTER "2Trivia4Me".
