Not only was John Lithgow outstanding but so was his supporting cast--they gelled instatnly. Wayne Knight was a fantastic addition to the cast in the later seasons as Officer Don. I also loved the rivalry between Dick & Dr. Strudwig (beardy-face guy). Also, I liked how they had a sinister side & found it funny, like when Sally, Harry & Tommy plot to kill Mary's borther (Bronson Pinchot) or when Sally orders Dick to kill a photojournalist. One of my favorite moments was near the end when Dick turned enemy-alien Liam Neeson (John Cleese) into a monkey.
