Both were '90s sitcoms centering around a greeting card/comic artist. I watched both shows to an extent. I've never seen Bob's second season. It's a tough call because I didn't care for many if any of Newhart's co-stars in that one. His creepy co-workers were poorly developed & there was no chemistry between Bob and the rest of the cast. On the otherhand "Caroline" was ok of a show, I wouldn't call myself a fan because I only watched it when it was after "Frasier," "Seinfeld" or when nothing better (i.e: Murphy Brown) was on at that same time.

Bob. I used to have every episode on tape, but then one of the tapes broke.

Neither, but if I had to pick one it be the Bob Newhart's show since I am most familar with that actor.

While I loved Bob, I had to pick Caroline in the City. I was such a huge CITC fan -- Richard and Caroline made a wonderful couple, and I'll still watch so-so reruns from earlier seasons, just for the subtext and chemistry between the two.
Caroline in the City. I loved Richard, he was so funny.

I would pick Caroline In The City because I'm more familiar with that show.

I thought Bob was terrible. No chemistry between him and his TV wife. Many women complained because she looked too young to be his wife. In the second season there was not much interplay between Bob and his TV wife. That show was too eccentric for my taste.

I picked Bob. I haven't seen Caroline in the city in years and recently saw Bob. Funny show.
