Yes! :yourock: I thought it was only me and my brother who thought that Detroit would be a wild card this year. Of course, being a diehard, I always think they can win, but I really think this season they will make hge improvements and either be a wild card or just miss it. Either way I'll be happy because that means they won more than 3 games. :lol:

I think Detriot will be a very good team this year, they got a good coach, and they had one of the best drafts this year and soem good free agent additions, so I think Detriot, will be a team to watch this year, I think Mminnesota will win the NFC North this year especialy if they can get a defense together, I don't think they will win the division but I could see them going 10-6 this year. I just hope Green Bay doesn't make it to the playoffs this year.

Yay someone else who thinks the same thing! :D All I want is for them to go at least 8-8, I'd be in heaven if that happened.

I agree with Bandito, Detriot is going to be very tough this season, they did very well in free agency and they had one of the best drafts this year, I definatly wouldn't be suprised if Detriot, made a playoff push this year, oh and I forgot to add they got a pretty good coach, so there maybe something special brewing in Detriot.

My dream superbowl this year would be Minnesota and Pittsburgh, because they are my 2 favorite teams and the superbowl this year i son my birhtday, now that would be a great birthday present for me, watching my two favorite teams in the superbowl.

I also think that Detroit is going to be way better than last year and they could get a wild-card berth.

My mom is a huge New England Patriots fan.

Joey Harrington is the man!!! He is one of the greatest quarterbacks in College Football history, and I believe he will be one of the greatest in NFL history when his career ends. I'm rooting for Detroit all the way in 2004!

Hmm, that vote of confidence for Seattle is a toughy for me. They might do something good things, but with San Francisco and a St. Louis team that will be better than last year, I don't know.

I'm not even worried with Arizona because Jake Plummer took away any hopes of them going to the playoffs this year when he left via free agency.

I think Seattle will suprise people this year like I said before. I got one of those football magazines and they predicted Seattle to play in the NFC championship game. I guess we can only wait until September to see what happens.

BUFFALO TAKING THE AFC EAST! sorry but, the day buffalo takes the afc east is the day pigs fly and the red sox win the world series again.

may i remind u that drew bledsoe is their qb DREW BLEDSOE, drew folds under pressure n he stinks, the best thing that ever happened to the pats was drew getting hurt n brady comin in! look back at the scores of our superbowl vs. the packers, that should tell u something

I agree. I just can't see Buffalo winning the AFC East this year or in the next few years. Miami is just too tough a team to take the division title away from.

I really think Buffalo has a good shot at winning the AFC East this year, they have a good offense, Drew is a good QB, not the best obviously but he is capable, they also have a pro bowl caliber running back in Travis Henry, and a much improved offenseive line, there WR may be the weakest position on offense since they got rid of Perless Price. If Buffalo's defense improves greatly they will be at the top of the AFC East IMO. I don't think Miami will be as good this year and they always flop late in the season and in the playoffs. I guess we will wait and see what happens this year.

I can't wait until football season starts!!! :D

I'm rooting for the Vikings all the way in the NFC North!:) I also wouldn't be suprised that if Detriot finishes second, because Green Bay doesn't have a great defense, there offense is ok but this will probably be Brett Favre last year. Here is how I see the NFC North division this yeah team by team.

Green Bay: The Packers should be a decent team this year, but they need to improve there defense, because they lost lots of players in free agency, plus they lost one of there defensive coaches in Bo Pelini who is the new defensive coordinator at Nebraska, which makes me happy by the way, and they also must overcome several injuries at key positions mainly the offensive line, if everythigng goes well the Packers could be 11-5 at worst 9-7.


Chicago: The Bears didn't really do much in free agency, and Kordell Stewart is not the answer for them at QB. They definatly need to improve on offense this year if they want to make a run and they also must overcome injuries. AT best the Bears will finishes 8-8 and could be as bad as 3-13.

Detriot: The Lions I believe will be good this year and if they can keep all there young and coming players together watch out for them in the future. Detriot has a young offense but Jjoey Harrington is going to do well this year and he has a very good rookie in Charles Rogers at WR. RB James Stewart may not be the best back in the NFL, but he can get the job done. Detriots biggest weekness on offense is there offensive line. On defense there is good especialy at the defensive line position, there linebackers are young but alot faster than last year, they also added veteran Earl Holmes at linebacker so he will definatly provide veteran leadership. Detriot's biggest weekness is most definatly there pass defense if that improves greatly the Lions should have a good D. Plus Detriot has a good coach in Steve Marriucci, who is much much better than Marty Morninwheg ever will be as a coach. I can see Detriot going 10-6 at best this year and at worst 6-10.


Minnesota: The Vikings should be very very good on offense again this year, although they took a big hit when RB Micheal Bennet had a second surgery done on his foot, and may miss part if not all of the 2003 season, but they have a good rookie RB in Onterio Smith. Also another offensive hit for the Vikings is there starting TE Byron Chamberlin, when he got suspended for 4 games because he used the suppliment Ephedera. The biggest question mark on how the Vikings will do is there defense which has been one of the NFL'S worst in recent years, but I think they have made several good free agent moves and a good draft on the defensive side so if they can avoid injuries and gel together the Vikings D should be in the top 10. I can see the Vikings going 12-4 at best and 5-11 at worst.


Man I can't wait for football season, atleast there is a highschool football allstar game on Saturday night so that will be my football fix until the first NFL preseason game and until August 9th as the Vikings play the Jaguars and the Steelers play the Lions!

Come on, people!!! The NFL season is quickly approaching. This thread needs some life. :D :wave:

I was bummed out that the Hall of Fame game was cancelled, it's that time of year where it doesn't even matter who's playing, I just have to watch football. But the Lions play on Saturday and I get to go to the game. Even though it's the preseason I'm still really excited and if they win I'll be so happy, anything to start football on a good note.

Same here I have been going nuts, I will watch any football when I can, whether its college, pro, highschool, arena or NFL Europe I need to watch football in some way shape or form, and when there is no football on tv I watch some old games on tape.

I to was bummed out that the Hall of Fame game got cancelled, oh well Thursday night its the Giants and the Patriots! Then on Saturday there are lots of games going on starting with the Steelers and Lions, Go Steelers, even though its pre-season it will be a fun game. I hope you have a great time at the game LadyJess! Then later Saturday night the Vikings play Jacksonville! Go Vikes!
