ok, I'm speaking tongue in cheek (sort of, but I'm half serious too). Someone needs to buy a dvd recorder and get LITB on dvd before TVLand does something crazy like not renew the show. Then, that same someone can offer me the dvd's at a nice low price. :lol:

In all seriousness, I wish the price of the dvd recorders would come down a bit more, and I'd buy one and start recording right away. I have all the TVLand episodes on vhs, but those tapes start to lose quality (especially sound quality) so quickly that it's frustrating. I'm hoping that the price of these recorders will drop below $300 soon. Right now, the best price I can find for a dvd recorder is $499. Still too rich for my blood (even though I desperately want to record and transfer many beloved shows to dvd).

The worst thing about the DVD recorders isn't the price, but the fact that they have about four competing formats. Just like with VHS and the now defunct Betamax, one of the formats will probably prevail in the end. One is liable to get a nice collection going and then, a few years down the road, find the format he chose becoming extinct.
