View Full Version : the past 3 episodes...
Krista2882 06-16-2003, 08:43 AM hi!
No one has been commenting on the episodes in a few days...
I thought the past 3 episodes that have been on were hilarious. Well, last night's episode- the idea of it was kinda stupid, but the episode was actually pretty funny.
I Thought "the spark and how to get it" was really funny
i laughed so hard when Brian was saying that he had a breakthrough at his appointment with his psychiatrist, and that he was completely over alex, and everyone just kinda looks at him. and he says "come on! the doctor gave me a hug!" and Joe says, "for 100 bucks an hour, I'd give you a hickey." lol!
That was the episode when Casey got her hair done really badly, right? Oh man, that was soooooo funny! When she came in with her hair all poofy, I loved Joe's reaction. haha. and Helen's reaction- she was like, "oh wow! it's really.... it's kinda... well.... it's really bad!"
i know there was a bunch of other funny stuff, but i can't remember it at the moment.
and then the episode the night after that.. i think it was called "is that a 10-foot sandwich, or are you happy to see me?" lol! That episode was hilarious also. It was so funny that every time Joe and Helen had a second alone, someone barged in. lol. Antonio comes barging into Joe's house, into his bedroom! haha!
oh, and Lowell's gift to Roy- the mug with his picture on it. hahaha, that was so funny- the part when Lowell gave it to Roy. hehe. "It's a MUG with my MUG on it."
hmm.. i don't remember what else. I just thought the whole thing was really funny.
I actually like Casey. she's actually really funny. I didn't like her back when i saw some of the episodes in the marathion that she was in, but she's actually really funny.
anyway, what did you guys think of these episodes?

I hate to admit it, but I'm actually backlogged on the last couple of "Wings" episodes. It's been a very busy weekend, and I DID tape the episodes, but I haven't had a chance to watch them yet....they're sitting here waiting for me to enjoy them...hopefully tonight.
I DID see the one where Casey gets her hair done by Lowell's cousin (the dog groomer who Casey mistakenly thought was a chic hair stylist).....
and Casey was absolutely HYSTERICAL as she was sitting there with that poofy, dog-like hairstyle. She was on the verge of tears, looking up at the ceiling, trying to act like nothing was wrong.....I really am finding her to be a very funny character!
What's funny about Casey is that she is so obviously out of place in that "quaint" small-town Nantucket setting with the "Wings" gang.....It's sort of like stylish Eva Gabor living with the Hooterville residents on "Green Acres"!
losthighway 06-16-2003, 08:22 PM I really enjoyed "The Spark..." and "10 Foot Sandwich...".
I loved when Brian envisioned what his life would be like when he was 60 years old still going to the Club Car, and Antonio and Brian playing "Good Cop/Bad Cop" was a riot. And then when he dragged Lowell with him, that was good as well.
Then in the 10 foot sandwich episode with the misunderstanding of Antonio concerning the Brian and Casey plans for the surprise engagement party was funny! I also liked the entire premise of the 10 foot sandwich and how important it was. I can't remember the exact dialogue, but it was something like this-
Brian: Sorry guys, we aren't having the Big Sandwich.
Lowell: Excuse me, it almost sounded like you said there would be no Big Sandwich?
Roy: No Big Sandwich......it's, it's......it's just not done.
LOL....I love that. And I loved how Casey hated the thought of a 10 foot sandwich.
Krista, thanks to Nick at Nite you probably missed most of the dialogue on the credit ending, but that was pretty funny too. If you recall, Joe and Helen are in bed together with the lights out and Joe turns to Helen and says, "Helen, I'm in the mood." And then Helen goes, "Again? Joe you're insatiable." Then she leans over and hands him another section of the sandwich.....the joke being of course that your led to believe Joe is in the mood for yet another go round in the sheets, but he really just wants more of the sandwich, but thanks to Nick you don't hear any of the dialogue.
But I liked all of those episodes.
AgtSkye 06-16-2003, 09:17 PM One of the parts I thought was funniest, although extremely short was in the ten foot sandwich episode...Casey is complaining about being out of her face cream, and Brian barges in to comment about his date being in a car accident. And she's all like, "Excuse me, but I was talking about something important here. I'm out of hydrating cream." And Brian just has this blank couldn't care less stare on his face, and then says, "Anyway..." I loved that!! It's like big effing deal, you're out of hydrating cream! lol.
And Lowell's mug was funny, as well as the Simon Says guy with both Lowell and Roy.

pilotguy 06-17-2003, 08:47 AM I haven't really gotten a handle yet on the relationship between Brian and Casey...I understand that they "get together" (if only physically) later on, but I also hope that they keep up that mild dislike between the two of them....
It looks like it could be a classic case of a person having to tolerate another person simply because they're an in-law.
(Actually Brian and Casey are kind of alike in that they're both
rather self-centered....it's just that they each go about it differently).

Thanks for filling us in on what was said in that last scene, that's hilarious:lol: ...
Without hearing the dialogue, the only thing I could gather from the scene was that Joe was eating a sandwich in bed!
losthighway 06-18-2003, 12:37 PM Glad I could help! Nick just keeps screwing the endings. Last nights episode also had a funny bit with Brian and Joe taping a commercial and of course you only heard maybe 1/3 of the dialogue.....uggh, it's frustrating.....but that Helen/Joe scene was always one of my favorites for the ending credits. Here is the complete version (I had to take a look again!)
Joe: Helen, I'm in the mood again?
Helen: Already?
Joe: Yeah.
Helen: God Joe, you're insatiable, haven't you had enough?
Joe: I can never get enough.
(Joe leans in to kiss her)
Helen: All right honey.
(Helen reaches for sandwich)
LOL....I love that. Makes me laugh every time.
