My husband and I got into a debate about old shows like LITB and the subject sort of came up about whether or not June would have been a virgin when she married Ward. I think she was. I don't think Ward would have been though which was I'm sure was acceptable back in the day. what does everyone think?

how did you think of that. That is one of those hidden questions that remain hidden. Was it established at what age she got married. IF 20 or so I say yes was a virgin. Ward maybe. Men are more outgoing in sex But gosh a question i wouldn't think to ask But here I am answering it.

The customs were completely different from now. Having been born in 1953, I still remember. It was a mark of shame for a woman not to be a virgin on her wedding night, unless she had been divorced or something. As I recall, there was really no such thing as unmarried couples living together openly in polite society.

She probably was.. My mom got married in the 50s and she was. She tried to instill those values in my siblings and I but unfortunately times have changed drastically since then. She was raised in a small town and in those days if a woman had sex before marriage she was considered a tramp.
