Baby, I'm Back which aired in 1978 on CBS starred Demond Wilson from Sanford and Son and Kim Fields from Facts of Life. Demond Wilson played the father who was declared legally dead after leaving his wifeand family for 7 years. Kim Fields played the role of his daughter. I LOVED THIS SHOW. I'm receiving episodes of this show in the next couple of weeks. I CAN"T WAIT!!

I thought you said you'd never seen it before.

Anyway, that's cool! Where did you get the episodes?

"Baby, I'm Back", With Demond Wilson...man, there was a show with a lot of unrealized potential!!

The first four or five episodes, where Ray Ellis (Wilson) was depicted as an unflappable wise guy were the best. I belive the show faltered when the writers decided to make Ray a loser (appearently to inspire sympathy in the character), and, as a result, the show went straight downhill from there. It's a shame, too, because if they had stuck to the original premise...a lead character that let NOTHING faze him...the show would be considered a true sitcom classic instead of the footnote it is today!!

Just my humble opinion...

I still can't believe Demond left Sanford and Son to do a sitcom like that.

Well, at least it was a chance for him to be the actual STAR of the show, and, really, you can't fault him for that!
