PZelda 06-14-2003, 12:56 PM Vacuuming the furniture Cleaning the cat litter box  If you're wondering about the furniture thing...Three cats + furniture = tons of hair. It takes me like a hour to do each piece of furniture individually and almost two hours for the couch. fr00ti 06-14-2003, 01:05 PM Making my bed, and cleaning the bathroom. Christopher 06-14-2003, 01:15 PM I am surprise no one has said laundry yet. That is nasty. I hate doing laundry. I also hate cleaning up after 8 cats. Titania 06-14-2003, 02:59 PM I really hate sweeping...i dont know why- it just annoys me soo much. so sweeping the porch is one and litter boxes, ew.. if you count outside stuff its skimming the pool (i hate bugs...) and picking peaches (the skins give me a gross rash if i pick for too long) Cashodeen 06-14-2003, 03:39 PM Originally posted by SOLOMON But your room is the Mess you created, the bathroom and washing dishes is cleaning the mess other people made also which is probably why I hate both jobs. YES, that's why I would say the bathroom is number 1. I have to share with my sister and you all have no idea how I hate it. But my mom doesn't tell me to clean it. I just do on my own. My mom cleans it all the time to, and it seems to get messy in no time. It infuriates me that I don't have my own bathroom #2 is probably cleaning up rooms around the house--rooms my sister messes up and never is told to clean herself. I love being the oldest. Kitt 06-14-2003, 03:45 PM Washing the car in the driveway! Take the dang car to the 'do it yourself thing'. Heck of a lot easier then all that soap and bucket stuff in the driveway. That takes about two hours. The do it yourself place takes about 6 minutes. Kitt 06-14-2003, 03:51 PM Originally posted by Titania I really hate sweeping...i dont know why- it just annoys me soo much. so sweeping the porch is one and litter boxes, ew.. if you count outside stuff its skimming the pool (i hate bugs...) and picking peaches (the skins give me a gross rash if i pick for too long) The peaches thing is a unique chore Cara.:talk: The litter box one is an old one that who could ever like getting dealt that lousy hand? :p That's what I'll bet you do when you get assigned that job by the big meanies. And I don't blame you. dawsongirl 06-14-2003, 04:26 PM cleaning the toilet...I'll do the sink, the tub, anything...BUT NOT THE TOILET. It literally gives me nightmares. Nothing else bothers me. Just that damn disgusting toilet. Mijada 06-14-2003, 04:37 PM When I was a kid my mom did most of the work inside the house because she wanted it "Done right" Us kids had to do the outside work and the worst things for me were picking up the dog crap and raking leaves. I hated raking and bagging leaves especially wet leaves. Brad Russ 06-15-2003, 06:44 AM I would have to agree with most of you on cleaning the bathroom. The key is to clean it often so it doesn't get that dirty. If you only clean it once every couple months, it will be much tougher obviously. All I can say is thank goodness I have my own bathroom now! I also hated washing dishes, (especially after a big get together), mowing the lawn, picking up the dog poop from the back yard, and eating all my Hamburger Helper. (I considered that a chore). ( thats disgusting), and take out the garbage ( thats a guys job!) You're right. The garbage is a guy's job, and it's a pity that you have to do it. You've got to psych your parents out of this concept of "chores" - even if you have to hire a professional hypnotist. Until I left home at the age of 17, and really until I was about 30 (when I would come home to visit), I successfully convinced my mother that I couldn't be trained to use the washing machine. Cashodeen 06-17-2003, 03:52 PM Lol. You "guys" really think that taking out the trash is a GUY'S job? I take out the trash all the time and I'm a girl. It doesn't bother me. I figure if males should be expected to do what was once considered "women's work" (ie, cooking, laundry, dishes, ect.), then girls could do a "guy's job." dlemond 06-17-2003, 04:01 PM As a homeowner (or rather one who is paying off a house over 30 years), I would say the two worst chores are: 1. Cleaning the bathroom 2. Raking (and bagging) the leaves. -If you have a decent size yard, this can be the worst of all. *ShortCake* 06-17-2003, 04:23 PM Originally posted by BrandonS You're right.
