I remember surfin' the net a couple months ago and finding a site with archive magazine articles about the 'Facts of Life' and coming along an article dating summer of 83'.
It was from tv guide or something like that. Anyway it stated that Lisa Whelchel and Nancy McKeon were supposed to have their own spinoff after the forth season. This was due to the high ratings of the 'Graduation' episode.
But contract disputes or something stood in the way. Of course we all know Blair and Jo remained fixtures of FOL after the forth season, but what if that spinoff actually happened? I would think the show would be sorta like 'Laverne and Shirley', I guess. Who knows? What do you guys think?

I think it would have been cool after the ninth season, and have Natalie and tootie come in every so often as guests. But having a spinoff after the fourth season wouldn't have beeen good - IMO, seasons 5 - 9 were pretty dang good, most of the time. But that would have been cool after the series finale of FOL

Boy, that wouldve been cool to see! There couldve been so many possibilities for different FOL spin offs but by far, a Blair and Jo show wouldve been my favorite. They started off as enemies and became best friends. It wouldve been cool to see them and their friendship evolve even more.

I'm wondering, what who would have replaced Blair and Jo on the FOL id the spinoff attempt was sucessful. Would they have invited the original girls back? Sueanne and Cindy. Not counting Nancy because she probably would have graduated the same class as Blair and Jo.
