there was poison in the salad. Here are the reasons why.
1. Terri's Date didn't like the fact that Jack was Terri's roomate
2. When Terri's date found out Jack was in the kitchen making salad, he arranged for Jack to leave the kitchen so he could put whatever in the salad. If it wasn't poison why couldn't he give Jack the seasoning to put on the salad.
3.And Most Importantly, He told Terri NOT TO EAT THE Salad because she stood up for him. Plus he told her he saw a WORM???? in the salad. So Yes that was defintely poison in the salad.
Interesting Fact: He still wanted Jack to eat the poison in the salad because he only told Terri not to eat it. Not Jack.
OK Here are the reasons why you are wrong on all accounts:
1) It was never said that the date didn't like Jack living there. He never made any major facial changes when he found out either.
2) He told Jack that he was putting the seasoning in the salad, but Jack had to go get something out of the oven when the date put the seasoning in the salad. Jack was still in the room.
3) What's so hard to believe about a worm in the salad? It is possible that Jack had bought a bad head of lettuce...

Well why didn't he tell all of them not to eat the salad? Why just Terri? And Jack was not in the kitchen when he put WHATEVER on the salad. Jack came back in the kitchen once he already put the stuff on the salad.

Telling Terri would be the same as telling everybody since Terri would not have kept what was said to her to herself. Perhaps he didn't want to embarrass the cook in front of company, but if you realize it's a tv show, he probably whispered it so that the audience would be kept in suspense.

He already got Jack's permission to use his seasoning so it wouldn't have mattered if Jack saw him add it or not. The script called for Jack to leave the room because it was important for Janet to see him add the seasoning w/out anyone's presense.

Yeah at the end did you notice Janet was limping when she went and got the police. She was limping on her left leg. I hope that in real life she didn't hurt herself!
