I realize that it wasn't her first episode, but I really enjoyed Casey on last night's show (her second episode).

I found her to be VERY funny....MUCH more of a "comedy" character than Alex was (Alex was a good character for plot development, but she always seemed so deadpan and serious).

I don't quite know what to make of Casey yet, but she WAS funny....kind of flighty and ditzy, and I love how she talks a mile a minute, going from one thought to another....she'll say something very sad, then something that cracks her up laughing, then something sad again, etc....It just cracks me up the way she switches back and forth like that without blinking an eye.

There's only ONE minor problem that I have (and maybe this was explained on Casey's first episode).....If Helen and Casey are sisters, why doesn't Casey speak with a pronounced southern accent like Helen does?

Yeah, Casey's pretty funny. I like her a lot, way more than Alex! I always thought Alex was really out of place on Wings, because sitcoms are supposed to have funny characters. JMO.

As far as the accent is concerned, in the first episode she was in, Faye commented on that as well. And Casey said that when you get out into the world, you lose your accent, plus she never had much of an accent to begin with. And Joe says "Sure you did" and Casey says "No, I didn't" and Joe says "Yeah you did" and Casey said "No, I didn't" and Joe says "You certainly did" and Casey says "Drop it, okay!" I guess she's not a fan of the southern accent.

Thanks for explaining about Casey's lack of a southern accent...

I hate to admit this, but there is a personal reason why I find the character of Casey so funny....she reminds me EXACTLY of my wife's younger sister!

My wife is a lot like Helen....feisty, but down-to-earth. However, my sister-in-law is flighty, self-centered and has an "Oh, I can't help with THAT...I might break a nail or mess up my hair!" attitude.
She REALLY gets on my wife's nerves, and I can only take so much of her as well.

My wife is like me...She never caught many "Wings" episodes before either. This morning before we each left for work I popped in the videotape from last night and showed her a bit of Casey....My wife just sat there, wide-eyed and said, "Oh My GOD!!!!!"....Then we BOTH cracked up and yelled my sister-in-law's name at the same time!

Yes, "Wings" can truly bring couples closer together!
