The statistics prove that Clay is winning in the amount of cd's sold, although they have both sold thousands. I am not going to start arguing with people about this again, so let this be the last message I post about Ruben and Clay. Even though Ruben won, and even though Clay has sold more cd's they are both great artists and I plan to follow each of their careers. If they can get along with each other, than why can't we all quit arguing? Granted know one is arguing right now, but there have been fights.

I read this in an artical, and I agree with this statement:

[The votes are in and the new American Idol is Ruben Studdard. The news media is giving Clay Aiken a bad name as a "Sore Loser". Clay Aiken is not a loser at all. He is in a much better position than he was in six months ago. He received the status of a celebrity over night. The bottom line is Ruben studdard can sing Pop, R&B, an Hip Hop. He appeals to people of all age groups and races. Whereas Clay Aiken sings Pop and he does not appeal to all people. The people voted for the new Ameican Idol so just let it rest and wish them both luck and success.] *please no one take offense to this, this is just an artical I ran across*

:yourock: Ruben and Clay !! :yourock:

On Amazon.com.... Clay has the #1 single, Ruben has #6. But that's just on Amazon. We'll know the big numbers when it comes out on billboard. (Mon, Tues, or Wed?)..

ALso, which song is Clay releasing? This is the night or... bridge over troubled water

oh. on billboard, on the hot 100, Clay is #1, and Ruben is #2.
Clay sold 393,000 and Ruben sold 286,000.

But Ruben is charting on more charts, he debuted on the Adult Contemporary, the R&B chart, and obviously the Pop chart.

Sicne the hot 100 combines airplay AND sales, Ruben will have the slight advantage since he's more out there.

Also, for Ruben fans:
Ruben is going to make a cameo on the next Scooby Doo, and he is gonna be on the next Making the Video on MTV.
