Okay, let me toss in another two cents. We are not fuddy duddys or old timers or party poopers. We like to have fun, but we also like to tackle the serious (as serious as we can get talking about a tv show, that is) topics. Okay, let me pick a topic at random. Why did Judy leave. Like I said before, we all have our silly moments. It just gets to be tiring when you have to scroll through the silly stuff in order to find something to reply, too. Private Messages are easy to use and you can act as silly, talk as much as you want, use as many smilies as you want and it'll just be between you 2-3 people. If you don't want to go the PM route, email each other. If you don't want to go the email route, download an instant messenger like MSN, AOL, Trillian, etc.

I have a suggestion. There are three new members who are disrupting the board. Frankly, I think it's easy to get rid of them. One way, of course, would be to ask TJ for help, but I believe that we could also take care of the problem ourselves.

Of the three, it seems to me that "springtime" should be given another chance, because, while he/she has posted with a lot of smileys and behaved in a childish way, he/she has not actually been rude, and may be willing to control herself/himself. The other two, "4Aaliyah" and "Mrs. Ducky," have been rude, particularly "4Aaliyah," and have refused to cooperate when appealed to.

Here is a quote from 4Aaliyah:

The solution to getting rid of them is simply to refuse to answer or acknowledge their posts in any way, no matter what they say, whether it's impolite or polite. Oh, they may put on a show of sticking around for awhile to prove that they can, but if they are consistently ignored and not answered, they will eventually leave. I want to emphasize, that we should not relent if they make one or two polite posts, because they can revert back to their current behavior in a heartbeat. If we are unwilling to do this consistently and see it through, we must accept the fact that this board will become a nursery school for bad, disruptive children, particularly if they bring more friends to the board.
