CAGE & HOFFMAN LIBERACE PICKS
June 11, 2003 | A trio of Oscar® winners, NICOLAS CAGE, DUSTIN HOFFMAN and ROBIN WILLIAMS, are reportedly being eyed to take on the role of LIBERACE in a big-screen bio-pic that's currently in the works. According to P.J. CORKERY's Web site, producer CARY WOODS revealed that Hoffman is willing to go the extra mile for part, saying, "Dustin says he is prepared to gain like 30 pounds to show Liberace as he got fat late in life." But, he adds, Dustin "has a history of being extremely choosy about roles," so somebody else may find themselves behind the candelabra.
