I was curious. . .does anyone remember the first episode of Cheers they saw? I don't remember the very first one I saw, but I remember I hated it for a while. Finally, when I was home last June, I watched a full episode and really, really loved it. So the first one I remember is "Let me count the ways"

The first episode of "Cheers" I saw was "Give Me A Ring Sometime," when the show premiered in syndication in September, 1988 (I wasn't allowed to stay up past 9 in those days, so that was my first exposure to the show).

The first episode I watched on NBC was "Norm, Is That You."

my parents and grandparents used to watch cheers all the time when i was younger, i rember cuz i loved the theme song and id sneak outta bed just to hear it. being born in 87 i was too young to remember which ones i saw in its original run but the first i remember watching was Let Me Count the Ways on a local channel
i loved the show and luckily for me that was the week that N@N bought the rights for cheers so my first on N@N was Sam's Women becuase i missed the first episode.

im like onefortheroad...im 17, so i only remember the theme from NBC (80's), and one scene from an unknown ep, where Sam (i think) trips over a mop (i think its a mop...someone has yet to find this scene! lol)

i actually totally forgot about Cheers for the 90's, then heard a MIDI of the theme on a totally unrelated website one day. i tried to remember it but couldnt, so i searched by listings and found it was on my local syndication channel. the first ep i can remember seeing was in may 2001, "Love Me, Love My Car". then 5 months later, N@N picked it up, and i watched the first N@N ep ever, Rebound Pt. 1.

onefortheroad...u must have started 2 watch the week after the premiere marathon, cuz Sam's Women (along w/ the pilot) weren't the first eps. to air

For some reason my parents never saw Cheers, so I don't have the memories of hearing the theme song, I was born in 87 so i could remember..... I kick myself sometimes because im like Wow i was around 6 when "One For the road" aired ....i could have seen it...although i wouldn't have understood it and my parents would have probably never let me see it when i was little.

I was 9 or 10 when the show ended and I remember watching the very last episode with my parents. So sadly to say the last episode is the first one I can remember.

First I saw was a couple years ago. Frasier came back into Cheers all soaking wet and had a cold. He and them went somewhere. I'm not sure what it was though. Right after was Sam and Diane's friend going out. She brought her parents there to meet him. That was hilarious. :D

I think it was Paul that talked Cliff, Norm, Woody, and Fraiser into going skinny dipping in the middle of winter to prove they were "men". Fraiser was the only one that actually did it though...

Ya, that could've been it. Paul lived in Hawaii though when he was a kid. :D

Yep, right after the guys left to go skinny dippy Carla asked Paul where he grew up and he told her in Hawaii, good old Paul huh?

I'm 18, so like all of you, I remember the theme song, opening sequence and brief scenes from my childhood. The first episode I watched completely when it started on N@N was the one where Sam and Rebecca get locked in Robin's house, and the security system keeps them trapped. I had seen one episode prior to that, and HATED it, but decided to gove it a second chance, and that episode sold me.

I was also very young when my parents watched Cheers when it originally aired. My first episode (that I can remember) was "Thanksgiving Orphans". My Dad thought it was so funny, he wouldn't stop talking about it with his friends for days! But, the episode that got me hooked was probably the episode when Rebecca and Sam decide to have a baby. I was curious to know what the deal was with that. I was like "wow, I really missed something...." After that I wanted to see where their relationship would go, and eventually I was totally rapped up in their relationship and eventually Sam and Diane's of course!

Which one was on the list? Thanksgiving Orphans? If that's what you mean I agree, that episode is so great! I also thought I Do Adieu was excellent, oh yeah, and Diane's Perfect Date, that is so funny! My Dad loves the episode when Kevin McKale goes on the show and somehow they end up counting the bolts on the floor at what was formerly known as Boston Garden. That is such a Bostonian episode.
