Guys come on !!! We CAN't let this board die!!!! Lately only about 5 post per day...... come on!!!! we need this board back to life!!!!!!! The Cosby board is starting to catch up when two weeks ago we were like 6,000 post ahead of them! (this IS sad)......

It is sad half the people aren't on here anymore. Thats why I took a absence from this board in the first place. We so can't let those Cosby people beat us. I don't understand how they can what do they talk about his sweaters:happyface

I agree but what can we do? Most everybody left and I'm sorry but I am a boring person with a boring life. We need more people!

Theres nothing we can do other than try and generate some interest and life back into the place!

I agree and that was well said. From all the boards I'm apart of this is one of my favs cause we have some good discussions and I feel like I know a lot of people here.

Let me start. Today I was at my friends house and we watched the episode when Diane leaves Sam to finnish her book. I really didn't want Diane to leave. She was my favorite character.:(
You know what? I acually cried, so did my friend.

Hey, I have a question. In the end Diane says, " See you in 6 months.." Does she really come back, or shows up after 6 months? Does she call? I know she didn't come back for the other seasons. What happens after 6 months?

I cried too Bai! Especially in the last scene when you see the old Sam and The old Diane dancing :crying: I was on the floor crying it was so sad! Diane's my fav....well i like Diane and Sam equally, but i didn't want Diane or Shelley to leave the show. They explain what happened in the last episode when she comes back. Ok, you see when they were about to get married she was willing to and he was the one that stopped it. He didn't want her to resent him for holding her back, and he knew that she needed to write this book she deserved it. He told her that he already had his time in the spotlight and that now it was her turn. Ok so this is what Diane explains to Sam when she comes back, Her book offer fell through, the publisher didn't want it or something like that. So Diane felt like a failure, and didn't want to disappoint Sam and come back without having accomplished anything. She wanted to make him proud, so she looked and worked for six years, then finally in the last episode in Cheers everybody's sitting around watching some awards and then they call Diane's name out and She wins an award. That's when Sam sees her, that's when she comes back. So basically she couldn't come back until she had made something out of herself.

Hey. I'm still here. I'm more of a reader than a poster. Maybe more people are like that and just post at what they want to post to.

i think we need more people like bethany. its too bad that shes so busy her posts were always interesting and she knew everything about bebe.

Thanks alot DianeChambers87, i really learned something. Well, I have another question: Is it true that in the last episode that Sam and Diane rejected each other and Diane left again??? I didnt see the last episode so I'm DIEING to know. I would do any thing to watch that last episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well bai to tell you the truth I am not a big fan of the last episode I don't think it ended true to their characters or the story. What happens is Fraiser and the rest of the barflies are watching these awards, but not because they care it's just that there is this model hosting the awards and they are just there you know watching for her. Sam gets in after a sexaholic meeting and is like "I can't look at or think of a woman for now" so he sees what they are watching and he goes into the office so then the model and this sports guy announce the nominies for an award for writing and they say a bunch of peoples names and they go "Diane Chambers" (I love this part though, because i love the way fraiser raises his head from the end of the bar, for some reason it reminds me of a mole...? lol). So then they are all like "Noooo we heard wrong". Until they say "and the winner is "Diane Chambers" then they all stand in front of the tv in awe, Diane starts to make her speech and Carla walks into the room from the back and freezes and is like "woody tell me whos on the television?" everybody signals him to not say who it is so he's like "It's off " and carla's like "Ohh i must be having one of my hallucinations". So Diane is talking and talking (because keep in mind this IS diane we r talking about) I don't remember if they call Sam or if he comes out but the thing is he does and sees Diane. So he sends her a telegram and She calls him later to to thank him. They start to talk and she says she's married and has kids and Sam says that he's married and has kids too. So he invites her to come to Cheers, because he knows she's not married and that she would never come. But (Norm knew better) She does show up the next day with her husband. Meanwhile Rebecca is a total mess because she broke up with don, and she loved don because she couldn't say "yes" to his proposal of marriage. But Sam needs a person that Diane's never met to fill in for his wife so he runs in and grabs Rebecca who hasn't slept, showered, eaten, or stopped crying for two days. So She looks like a complete mess, so they go up to lunch at melvilles. While their in lunch Don shows up says to rebecca that he loves her and won't take No for an answer and she finally says yes, kisses Don, he lifts her up and puts her over his shoulder she says briefly "sorry sam" and they run off. Poor Sam is just kind of left there so he just starts chewing on a bread stick. But then this guy shows up and is like "Muffin" You left the condo and I had to hunt you down like an animal!! and he wasn't talking to Diane, yes the "husband" wasn't really her husband it was her gay friend. So he runs after the guy and leaves Diane looking like a complete idiot. So then they start to talk and I think I told you the explanation in the last post. Well any ways she's about to leave and hes like " Come here and give me a kiss before you leave" and she's like "oh sam" and he says something like for old times sake. (thats the picture I attatched at the bottom) So then they both get let's say aroused and they go off and "be sam and diane". They come back to cheers and they announce their engagement, and this is the part I disagree with They should have gotten married!! Well everybody's disappointed and so Sam yells at them and they leave for the airport, but then in the episode they realize that they aren't meant to be (Which they are!!!!) and so Diane leaves and sam goes back to the bar and claims that the bar is his true love.....grrr....

i like the way cheers ended, im glad sam and diane didnt get married, it wouldve been cool if she stayed in boston, but i think it ended perfectly anyway. also if we do get a reunion, theres no chance sam and diane will get married because i have an interview with les, glen, and jimmy on tape and they said that there's no way that they were ever going to make sam and diane truly get married

I mean it's SO TRUE that Sam and Diane are perfect for each other and if theer is a reunion it should be one that makes the fans happy and finnishes the tough love life between Sam and Diane. I totaly dont get what the directors are thinking!!

the point of that was for the show to have a plot, which was sam and diane have an on-of relation, but they never get married, something always happens, such as a proposal turndown, frasier showing up, diane supposedly leaving for a few months but never coming back

Yes fine it's part of the plot, but honestly they should be together! It just seems so sucky! like i don't all those years, all the fights, all the love, all the misunderstandings, all the flirtation just go to waste? I mean as they showed in "One for the Road part 3" they both led a kind of lonely life when it came to relationships....remember the episode from season 4 "Don Juan is Hell" where Diane writes a paper about Sam's sex life and the type of life he led, and she says that he will likely end up alone without a future.....well Diane is the only person in the entire world that could prevent that from happening! I mean lol ok, She never took his crap and he never took hers. They were always thinking the same thing when it came to each other. They were always insecure, Sam would yell at her she'd yell at him. He'd slap her she'd slap him. You know? They were complete opposites but in many ways they were exactly the same!

I think that it would be nice if we could see Sam and Diane finally just getting married and just finishing off this rollercoaster ride of relationship...

and giving obsessed fans like me some closure ...lol! c'mon we've waited long enough!:(
