It turns out that its someone from my school... I dont know who, Im still trying to figure out who it is. I dont know how they could get my screenname though...?

ouch that is brutal. i know what it is like to be targeted like that, it caused me to really shut down for so long. Now though, i am better because i realized no one can do it all by themselves and i made a lot of good friends this year so things sometimes do work out. That's really too bad. The best thing you can do is ignore them. I know it is hard, but in the past when I have gotten made fun of I just totally ignore them and most of the time they lay off. They figure "oh, she's no fun, she's not going to cry or say something back." That's what peopel look for when they make fun others- they want the person to get really mad at start to cry or to say soemthing mean back, and if you don't they eventually get bored with you and move on to soemone else. It doesn't always happen like that, but it has worked for me. That person (or persons) that is harrassing you does seem like a total jerk. Try to stand strong though.

Wow, whoever it is IMing you, is one messed up loser who seriously needs to get a life and stop bothering you. Try to ignore him--this is usually the best way to get someone to stop doing such things...if you ignore him, maybe he'll grow tired of it and quit doing what he's doing. Keep us posted if anything else happens.

They probably know about this website and visit here to get the IM names. Either that, or they lied about going to school with you and it's just someone here. Either way, I'd ignore it. It's probably some 12/13 year old who has nothing better to do with their time.

First of all, remember that these IMs are a big commentary on the sender, but say nothing about you at all. Don't let them mess with your self image. Having read many, many of your posts, I can see clearly that you are a very nice and worthwhile person, which this individual is not.

Second, don't respond to this, because virtually any response will encourage the person. As long as this is the extent of what he/she does, it's harmless, although irritating. This person doesn't seem very smart, and if he/she continues to do things, there may be a clue that slips in that can be used to identify the individual. If that happens, go to the authorities and have the person crucified.

Better hold on to as much evidence as you can, just in case you have to use it. In the particular IM you quoted, the person almost went over the line. He said, "I hope you die a thousand deaths," but didn't actually threaten you. If he/she does go over the line, you may be able to interest the authorities, who may be able to trace IMs or other pranks. BTW, I wouldn't take any of these threats remotely seriously, because they are undoubtedly being made by some child who lacks the both the intent and the ability to do any actual harm.

What an *******. The person apparently bugging you has no life at all. 10 to 1, this person has problems with something about themselves. I feel insecure about __________(insert problem), hey, I know a way I can make myself feel better. I'll go and tease somebody. That's how they get their kicks, you know? If they see someone upset at teasing, it makes them feel all high and mighty. It's not right at all. One day the person/people picking on a person is gonna get what they should. One day they are gonna mess with somebody they really shouldn't mess with and hopefully they'll get a firm, hard kick in the ass.

I don't know if this will work or not, E-mail them and tell them you know who they are. They might give up. Or it could shock them. Or the other ultimatium is e-mail nasty things back to them and see how they like it. Good Luck. They are a bunch of Losers.

I believe you can only lose by responding, except that if you find out who it is, or they cross the line by making a physical threat, you should go to the authorities.

Thats is so mean. I have had people say mean stuff to me online, in like chatrooms (I don't go to those anymore!) and things, but those people didn't know me, so it didn't hurt. I feel really bad for you, and if I was you, I would try my best to track down this person.
