OK, I guess this just proves I have too much time on my hands, but I was thinking about that quote from Crystal Bernard I posted a few days ago and how she said she and the other cast members weren't too interested in having a reunion show.
Then, I had some exchanges with DianeChambers87 about how Cheers had a small reunion of sorts when Norm, Carla and Cliff showed up on Frasier last year. At one time or another Sam, Woody and Diane have shown up on Frasier for an episode, and I thought.......what if......at least some of the Wings characters showed up on Frasier next year, during the final season of the show?
Some of you may remember that during either the second or third season of Wings, Frasier and his wife Lillith flew to Nantuckett so Frasier could conduct a seminar. What if Frasier and his Dad and brother and Daphne flew to Nantuckett again, for a vacation or even another seminar or whatever, and passed through the terminal again?
Being that the creators of Frasier are the same folks that created Wings, it wouldn't be that hard of a concept to get them to do, would it? It would at least give them a way to introduce some of the Wings characters again to see what is happening there 6 years later? Joe and Helen probably wouldn't be around because maybe Helen went on to a successful musical career, and Joe is just working as a commercial pilot from whatever homebase he and Helen ended up in. And of couse Lowell would probably still be hiding in the witness protection. But Brian could still be there, even more bitter because he is still running Sandpiper, Roy could still be there.....Casey could still be around, even more bitter as she is now running the lunch counter! If Tony had some time away from Monk, maybe he could show up, maybe HE could be running the lunch counter now?
Or if the producers really wanted to be mean and twisted they could have Joe back at Sandpiper after Helen's dreams came crashing down, I don't know........I guess just getting to watch the Wings episodes helps spur on the curiosity of where are the characters now.....and I don't think NBC would ever do a reunion show anyway. Oh well, it will never happen anyway, but its fun sometimes to try to think where or how the characters would end up years later.
