What do you do when one trader wants more than another? example: I found a tape trading site online a few weeks ago, there was only one sitcom I was interested in. I only wanted 6 episodes. So, I emailed the trader and sent them my have list, the person replied and said we could trade shows. BUT this person wanted about three times more than I was asking for (time wise). So, I just decided to pick out a few more things on their list (things I really didn't need) so the trade would be a bit more even (them still getting slightly more). After that, the person declined and didn't want to trade. What did I do wrong? I am still a new trader, but this has been bugging me for a couple of weeks. How do you make something even when one person wants more than another? I know selling (but I doubt that would have worked in my situation). If someone wants more from you than you want from them do you just tell them to send blank tapes to make up the difference? Or would you just send them whatever they want if they had a show you were really looking for?
