Does anyone remember this episode that was after many the first season's girls were let go (2nd or 3rd season, I think)? Tootie was unhappily working in the school's kitchen/dining room and showed her cut finger to Molly, who was apparently making a cameo appearance. Molly sympathized with her briefly, then left. I was so disappointed that Molly was given such a small appearance, since she was my favorite first-season character. This episode may have happened right after the girls wrecked the school auto and had to work chores to pay the money back. Which season/episode was it?

Yep it occured in the episode where they wrecked the school van (well the second part of it). It was the first episode in the second season (entitled New Girl) I actually read somewhere that Molly Ringwald left the show after that appearance to be in some movie. Also it was actually Blair's finger that Molly saw to which Molly answered something like "Ooooo.... thats a blister" and Blair was like, "really, I have never seen one before"

well, Molly got the last laugh. She was a huge teen actress from 84 to 88. She didn't do Little Chill because that was not too long after Pretty In Pink, and I don't think that she wanted to guest on a series that she left 6 years earlier that most people don't associate her with or that people remember for her.
