View Full Version : Braves
I must say, I do believe they are the most overlooked team in baseball. They're playing good ball and offensively they're just awesome. It seems all Braves fans have recognized this fact however...

Yeah, I'm really lookin' forward to it. I certainily hope it gets all the coverage that the Yanks/Cubs have.
At this rate the two teams will be tied going into it for the best records in baseball. Can't wait!

BlueEyes 06-10-2003, 07:39 AM I'm a huge Braves fan, and we're doing great this year. Nearly every man in the line-up could hurt you  The series in Seattle should be interesting. (Hopefully the Braves will sweep 'em out, so we'll be ahead by a few games, not tied ;))

Right on, pardner;)
BlueEyes, I agree with you, a sweep would be awesome. I think they're up to it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Javy DH so he can get those legs some rest and Blanco is solid behind the plate as we all know. It should be an interesting series, and may the Braves, the best team, win;)
Just gotta keep Ichiro off the bases...

Truth 06-10-2003, 07:48 PM There is no way in hell Mariners are going to get sweeped.... ;)
I also don't think there is a chance that Braves will get sweeped...
Keep in Mind saturdays game is a day game and Mariners are 17-0 in day games ;)
Brian Damage 06-10-2003, 08:21 PM Why is everyone so jealous of the Yankees?!?

Because they win everything almost every year.

I'm not ure jealousy is the right term. Anyway, I don't like them because they seem cocky, I think George S. has A LOT to do with that.
17-1 in day games sounds good...;)

Thank you AAOT! BRAVO! BRAVO!
And ks, it's going to take a lot more than just keeping Ichiro off the bases. ;)

Swimfan85 06-12-2003, 10:27 PM Braves fans, I dont kno much about National league, but who are your rivals, wht do you guys feel bout the cubbies or mets?
Small Wonderian 06-13-2003, 01:16 AM Braves fans, I dont kno much about National league, but who are your rivals, wht do you guys feel bout the cubbies or mets?
:o
Well, I'm amp2k3 and I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan. Our biggest rivals in the National League are everybody in our division (National League East), which includes the Montreal Expos, New York Mets, Florida Marlins, and Philadelphia Phillies.
Of these teams the Expos and the Mets are the Braves biggest rivals.
Every time the Braves play the Mets, a national tv network (i.e., ESPN, FOX, ESPN2) usually covers the game(s) in the series.
In the near future (as long as the Expos continue to be worth watching), the Braves-Expos series will have national exposure, too.
The Phillies-Braves are rivals but the series isn't what is was 2 years ago when the Phillies had a 8-game lead for 1st place in the division over the Braves in July and then the Braves took over first place when the Braves went on a classic "winning streak." Philadelphia couldn't recover even though we only won the division by 2 games over them.
The Marlins-Braves series are ok, but could be better. Usually the Braves hammer the Marlins in Atlanta, but really struggle against them down in Miami.
