View Full Version : How Many Men prefer CONSERVATIVE Women?
TVFactFan 06-08-2003, 01:36 PM I don't like the Party Girl, The Girl who dresses TOO SEXY, I'm more into females who have that conservative beauty. A Classy Women who doesn't dress too revealing, cute face with glasses and allergic to clubs and bars like me. Any other men like Conservative Women?
Czas na Zywiec 06-08-2003, 02:04 PM You need to actually goout and find a woman rather than asking 2745078609875 questions about them. At the rate you're going, you're going to be asking questions until you're in your 70's.
~LadyJess~ 06-08-2003, 02:12 PM For once I'm actually sort of interested in the answers to this question. Maybe because I'm sort of like the girl SOLOMAN described and from my experience it seems like guys don't like that.

Ahem! You, my friend, are calling me boring when you say that! :crying:
But then again... I call myself boring. ;)
Still, it's a generalization that has a tinge of unkindness to it. Don't you think?

NOOOO!!!! I'm not calling you boring but men who doesn't like your type may call you boring. Personally, I like a man who is in between, not dorky and not a trouble maker. I just want him to be cool, and someone who will laugh with me!

Sounds like a winner to me! Why flaunt beauty? Natural beauty radiates from within, and is more powerful than any makeup or mascara can comare!
I'm attracted to plain women. Those with glasses often times found with their nose in a book. Intelligence is VERY sexy!
Who needs clubs and bars? A quiet night counting the stars is far more satisfying!

This thread seems to describe me perfectly. I'm not allowed into bars and clubs now but I can see myself there but not that often, maybe a Saturday night every now and then, but for the most part I'd enjoy a quiet night alone with someone.

I'm ******** huh? So what disability do I have? Dyslexia, Cerebal Palsy, ADHD...? You can't just use a word like that to insult someone if you don't know what it means. It makes you look just plain ignorant.
Plus, why the atttitude? You asked a question, I gave you an answer. That was the point of the thread. Learn to accept that people are going to have varying answers.
Now back to the thread. I like a little bit of both. I want someone with a mind, but also, she needs to learn how to break loose once in a while. Reasonably good looking, but you don't have to be drop-dead gorgeous. I don't want other guys throwing themselves at you. :p That's why Mallory's the perfect girl for me. *sighs*
BrandonS 06-08-2003, 04:46 PM I don't care one way or the other, although I do have to like the personal style of the woman, or, let's say, I don't want to be turned off by it. Also, since I myself don't much like going to clubs, it might get tiresome if she were always trying to drag me to them, which has actually happened sometimes. I do prefer conservative girls, but only in the one sense that I don't want someone who is always screaming that she has the right to be like a man. Just in terms of dress and personal style, I can be attracted to a wide variety. That's how it works for me, anyway.

What if she goes to bars and clubs occationally or rarely? Is that still too wild for you? I can't tell if you are looking for people who NEVER go, or people who don't go much.
Cashodeen 06-08-2003, 05:27 PM ... I mean, I guess because you said "allergic" you don't want them to ever go, but would you really exclude the conservative/occational partier girl? Maybe thats an oxymoron to you.

im curious about that too....a girl can be very conservative, bookish, intelligent, etc.. and still enjoy a good party or going clubbing w/ friends. does that bother you?

Yes, that's what I'm getting at. I wonder what would happen if he was really interested in a girl he had been seeing and only later found out she goes to clubs and bars sometimes. Would she be history? Oh, maybe he finds out right away if she is into that scene so he never has to worry about that.

Same Here. Im just not into all that Bar and Club stuff. Im not old enough to go into a bar and i dont plan on drinking when im older either. And clubs just dont interest me, I Would rather spend a quiet night at home. Or go to a Movie or Restaurant. That is if i ever go on a date
vienna waits 06-08-2003, 06:24 PM I couldnt even like a girl whos into clubs in the first place.. there are none around here for underage ppl. I dont even know where ones are at for people who are of age! Same with bars.. I live in the suburbs so you'd have to drive awhile to get to one. And the ones that I know of are pretty much for 30 and older people. Besides that, I'm not of age and will never drink.
Mr. Stefani 06-08-2003, 06:30 PM party girl for me. being conservative is for when you get older. you have to get it out of your system.

I don't like nightclubs, I don't drink (there goes bars), and frankly, I don't like large parties. I'd rather stay home. I NEVER went to a party or a bar in college.
I have been known to wear low-cut tops and shirts that are tight though. ;)

My former girlfriend was not a conservative dresser.
At first I admit I was a little self conscious that she liked to wear clothes that emphasized her body, but then I realized she wasn't self conscious about it, then why should I be?

Me too. I don't reveal myself too much. My typical style is a t-shirt that has something kinda quirky wrote on it, jeans, and tennis shoes. I dont drink or do any partying or anything like that either, but I am also 15. I could see myself maybe going to a club someday, but just to socialize. I'm not much for dancing either, but that's cuz I am the most terrible dancer ever. So I'm interested in seeing the responses.

webuster 06-09-2003, 05:22 PM why don't you just type all the questions in one post? Before I didn't care, and thought ppl shouldn't fight with you cos of it- is there some website that posts a poll each day about females that you'll post her too? Just go read cosmo or some lady's magazine.

That's exactly how I feel. Although I could probably beat my date at mini golf ;) I would rather do that than go to a bar or club. Hell, if my date really wants to see the real me he should take me to a football game, I come alive at those things.
Dammit 06-09-2003, 11:28 PM the type of girl/woman you are describing is one that you'd more likely be in a relationship with. bc of my job, and bc of me having to leave at the drop of a hat with no warning, and not knowing how long I'll be gone, or being able to tell where I'm going or what I'm doing most of the time, I don't want a relationship.
Its not fair to the girl to expect her to wait around when I may drop off the face of the earth for 8 or 10 months.
FWB and ONS are the way to go if I want anything.

Look everybody, we have the Post Police here today. I really did not get what you wrote up there. Are you actually saying that other threads are getting bumped down the list because "useless" posts such as these are cluttering up space?
And it is really hard to just use one thread for all dating questions when new questions might come up later on. And these questions do not get answered on tv. These questions come from observing certain actions on dates. That was not hard to figure out. You are too busy critizing to really pay attention to what goes on in these threads. You really don't have a leg to stand on. Threads that I have no interest in, I stay out of. You should do the same.

not a problem. I love my job, wouldn't trade it for anything right now. I suppose if I actually ever wanted to settle down and have a family, i'd get out of Spec Ops, bc they don't go together very well. The whole leaving all of a sudden and not knowing when I'll be back. And also not being able to talk about most of what I do. The only time most of the stuff I do is ever known, is if we screw up. And if we screw up, someone dies, and to me that is just not acceptable. We've been lucky. My outfit has only lost 2 guys to combat in 10 years (I've only been in it for 6 of those years). Knowing what we do, that is impressive, but knowing how we are trained, it is unacceptable to those of us there.

I've read that any history of mental problems is an automatic disqualifyier for even applying for special ops. How did you get past that? Did you have to lie?

D You posted as Dammit? And you said that he had a nervous breakdown and takes medication? And I'm being an ass to your friend for asking him about it? I don't get how that or why that would be Ags. That doesn't make any sense.

I see the link has been corrected, but I did NOT post that. I'm sorry that you think you need to come on here and be a complete ass to me. I've done my best since the last time you were a jerk to me to completely ignore all of your posts, but when you call me on something that is completely not true, I am going to answer you. Whatever it is you think you have against me, get over it. If you have a problem with me, fine, whatever, I don't care. But grow up and quit trying to cause problems. It seems to me that you follow me around just to make comments. What exactly is your problem? If you don't like what I post, don't read it, that's the nice thing about a BB, you don't have to read anything you don't want.
I do find it rather interesting that you did not post on this thread until you came on here just to flame me. Rather than telling yourself what I am about in your eyes, would it be too much to ask you to explain how it is that a post that has your dignature on it was not posted by you? Could you, or would you please explain how it is that a guy who has mental problems and is on medication is a special ops person? It really is that simple of a question, Dammit. this isn't about me. It's about you.

Here's the link. Ags, you didn't think it would be a big deal posting about a nervous breakdown and being on medications under your friend's name? Surely you realized your error after "you" posted it.
This doesn't pass the sniff test.

Actually, I never said that it was a nervous breakdown. What I posted, "I couldn't stand it anymore and I had a breakdown" I did not say a mental breakdown. When I broke down it was me realizing that something was wrong that I needed help with.
And no I didn't think it would be a big deal. I've seen other people confess that they had accidentally posted under a different name and it was no big deal. Why is it such a big deal now?

I DID NOT MEAN TO SAY THAT DAMMIT HAD A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN AND TOOK MEDS!. It was supposed to have been under MY name. What I'm saying your being an ass about is suggesting that Dammit lied to get into the Spec Ops.
The only part that doesn't make sense to me is why you keep trying to pick a fight with Dammit.
Look, I don't see this as ending anytime soon. Why don't you PM me and maybe we can sort this out in private without involving the whole board.

D This involves the whole board. It's not between you and me, or Dammit. You might consider stopping calling me an ass for asking legitimate questions. If someone has lied to "the whole board" they should be exposed for doing so.

umm, I do believe this was answered by Ags. She said it was her that posted it under my account, not me that posted it. Someone with mental illness would not be allowed in a special ops unit. Is that what you are wanting? me to say you were right? Fine, you are right. Someone with a mental illness is not allowed in Special Ops, they aren't even allowed in many of the day to day or combat areas of being a Marine.
It is about you, you were the one that came on here just to try and start something.

Look, I'm just trying to stop this from getting more out of hand then it is. Who says Dammit lied to "the whole board" you? So what are you the police on who decides who is telling the truth or not on these boards now? I didn't realize you had been appointed to that position!

It is about you, you were the one that came on here just to try and start something. If anyone believes that Ags one day decided to post as you to talk about meds and mental breakdowns I would like to know who on earth would believe that and why. It doesn't make a lick of sense.
Why do you insist that I'm an ass for wondering such a thing. I've never posted under and alias that someone was having mental problems and taking meds. Has anyone else on the board ever done such a thing? I can't imagine why anyone would do that. So that's your story and you're sticking to it?

Look, I've already told you that it wasn't on purpose. I didn't post "under an alias" on purpose. It was a mistake...it happens. Dammit had been visiting me and I didn't change the name until after I noticed it. So sue me! Frankly, I don't care if you believe me or not, but I will NOT stand for being called a liar!
D
Dammit 06-11-2003, 01:20 AM apparently you have some reading comprehension problems. I was at Ags' house. I have said more than once that her family and mine are very close. I did not log off of this site after I had been on. Ags was on this site later. Ags read the thread on depression and posted, not paying attention or realizing at the time that I was the one logged in not her. Why is this such a hard concept to grasp. There have been many people on this board that have accidently posted on someone elses name. My name is not an alias for her or anyone else.
What exactly is it you have against me? You have said that I have lied, please, let me know where it is that I have allegedlyy lied, or what I have allegedly lied about, I'm more than happy to clear this up. Lets end this now.

D And since you won't stand for not being called a liar, that is supposed to clear all of this up?
Chapters to follow.

No, there you go putting words in my mouth again.
If you have any supposed "proof" post it here and now. Otherwise it's over in my mind.

D Proof of what? That a post signed by Dammit was written by you. I think you're putting the need for proof on the wrong person. That would be you and Dammit, not me. This is only one of several discrepancies that I've noticed. So if you think you're done, you're not.
Janice 06-11-2003, 01:31 AM While we're on the subject of telling the truth and lies. This thread that I posted below has always intrigued me. I brought it up Ags, months ago, on your infamous, 'To the person who e:mailed Dammit' thread, but you never responded.
By the way, who is the author of that scathing e:mail anyway? Why can't we know?
Back to the thread below, Dammit, who is the moderator who told you to go to The Division board and start trouble by saying lousy crap about Nancy McKeon? That's what you posted. You said a moderator told you to do so. You did write that or was someone else using your computer that day too?
Also, you tell someone on the board that your sister is a very popular poster here, but said, "shhh about the sister thing....people on here like her, and there are several on here that seem to completely hate me..that may carry over to her"
Yet, Ags on the first post of your, 'To the person who e:mailed Dammit' thread, you stated that you introduced Dammit to Sitcomsonline.
What gives here? Spare me the speeches, just a few answers.

this is over and done with, it does not matter who e-mailed it, it was taken care of. Maybe Ags was wrong for bringing it onto the board, but it does not matter who e-mailed it to me. That is between me and that person and a moderator if I want to get them involved.

Ags told me to post it on the Nancy McKeon thing. She was telling me how bad they would fight over there and I made a comment about not liking her (NM). She told me if I wanted some reactions and opinions, that was the board to go to.
Also, you tell someone on the board that your sister is a very popular poster here, but said, "shhh about the sister thing....people on here like her, and there are several on here that seem to completely hate me..that may carry over to her"

I have said more than once on this board that Ags was like my little sister. People on here have called her my sister. I've called her my sister nearly my entire life. We are not blood related, but that's no biggie bc I'm not blood related to anyone in my family. We grew up near and around each other, so I consider her my little sister.
Anymore questions I can answer???
Janice 06-11-2003, 02:12 AM That thread doesn't state LIKE a sister, and another poster states on the McKeon thread, "your sister told me, like 6 months ago". (That she (Ags) is your sister)
Any intelligent person who reads that thread knows you're not referring to someone LIKE a sister. Why tell someone to be quiet about that? You said yourself that you've often referred to Ags on here as your sister, so why the, "shhhh about the sister thing"?
And nice Ags, advising someone who doesn't like Nancy McKeon to post there and tell them, "how bad they would fight over there and if he wanted some reactions and opinions, that was the board to go to."
Dammit didn't let you down. He really laid into the board and got a nasty three page thread going. You must have been proud of your brother. You know, the one whose computer you share.
I thought the duties of a moderator were to keep peace on the boards?
There are more holes in both your stories than in OJ Simpson's alibi.
You can fool some of the people, some of the time.
But you can't fool all of the people, all of the time.
Are we still talking about how women dress?
;)
Dammit 06-11-2003, 09:52 AM No, that thread does not, that thread I do call her a sister, but since you apparently have all the threads I've ever posted on bookmarked, go look up one of the first threads I've ever posted on. They were talking about Ags' truck, I made a comment about what it looked like. When someone asked how I knew, I totally explained it. The 2 of us grew up together, and she is the closest thing to a younger sister that I have. I have called her my little sister since she was born. I have "uncles" who aren't really uncles. I even have a set of "grandparents" that aren't really grandparents. You mean to tell me you or no one you knew have ever been close enough to someone that you called them a brother or a sister or an aunt or an uncle or whatever. Sheesh, quit trying to make something out of something that is not there.

where else would I post my opinons on Nancy McKeon. Obviously if I posted it over here, it would be moved. I get it. So, a moderators job is to make sure that a topic is going to make everyone happy. No one is allowed to disagree with anyone in that area. Sheesh.
You must have been proud of your brother. You know, the one whose computer you share.
get over it. I've visited Ags' house on many occassions. I left my name logged in to the site. Its happened to other posters, and I'm sure it will happen again.
I thought the duties of a moderator were to keep peace on the boards?
hmm, I believe she was trying to do that and Kitt and you refused to take this off the boards to get it settled.
There are more holes in both your stories than in OJ Simpson's alibi.
I'm still waiting to answer any other questions you may have. Everything I have posted has been completely truthful. I know you won't take my word for it, and I don't really care. I offered to clear anything up that you or Kitt wanted to clear up. Yet, you are still stuck on 3 things that have been completely explained. yes, you are both being an ass in this entire situation. Unless you have something a little more substansive, then shutup about it and leave me alone. Y'all are the ones that came onto this thread to do absolutely nothing but cause problems. Yet you acuse me of doing that. A little double standard just bc it is you?
You can fool some of the people, some of the time.
But you can't fool all of the people, all of the time.
this is true...I'm sure many of the people on these boards like you and Kitt, but I know that you are both vindictive, asinine jackasses.
Enough already! Take it to private e-mail or messages. This does not involve the whole board, I am sure many people have no care whatsoever about it.
