The last two years of this show seemed to focus more on Pam and her Ghetto Friend Charmaine. And then you had episodes with Pam and her Friends at the club. Then the opening credits looked more street like in the last season. I think they could chosen a more conservative Female to play the part of cousin Pam rather than the Hood rat-Erika Alexander. I just didn't like the Hip-Hop vibe the Cosby Show gave off in the last couple of seasons. Anyone Agree?

I feel that The Cosby Show needed a change around the house. Like when it changed after smart- mouthed Olivia took over, and Pam brought a uniqueness to the Huxtables house, not to say that I liked Pam of course...

Unique was right.

Maybe by that time, the show felt like they had to be representin'. LOL. I don't know why they decided to go this route. Running out of ideas maybe? Probably. They were trippin'.

Maybe they did feel like they had "to be respresentin' ". They did focus a little more on the pam's life, I just think that made the show more realistic. They could have dimmed down her role in the afterschool a little though. But maybe they thought it was important to talk about those teenage issues were pretty important.
Don't u think "hood rat Erika Alexander " is a little harsh, are you poking fun at the actress or the role she played?

I don't care for the actress Erika Alexander. I didn't care for her on the Cosby Show or Living Single.

I thoguht that Pam and Charmane were funy in the last seasons, i just wished that you saw more of Vanessa in the last two seasons. It seemed like Pam took her place, but I still thought it was good

She so took Vanessa's place. It was ridiculous that they had Vanessa graduate a year early from high school and then basically wrote her off.

I'd rather have seen that "Clown" Vanessa (like SOLOMON says. lol) then that "Ghetto Fabulous" Pam and her crew. It was LAMEO CENTRAL.

I dont know if pam was my favorite character but I really liked the more edgy vibe that came when she came, or AROUND the time she came....

I don't know what I thought of her. Sometimes I think she is funny, sometimes I don't. I guess she was ok.:talk:

I really hated the last two seasons of the show! It just seems almost like a new show with all the new characters... it didn't really focus on the old cast. The only thing I was interested was Rudy with her triangle with Kenny & the other dude... forget his name. Basically I think they added the new characters because they ran out of story ideas for the former characters.

IF anything, you have to admit Lance was a good addition to the show, i think. He was pretty funny. Charmain was sort of funny sometimes, and pam wasn't really funny but i still liked her.

I think Pam was a waste, IMO. I hated the last two years of The Cosby Show. You barely ever saw Sondra, Vanessa, Rudy. Denise was of course gone. Theo was focused on, but not nearly as much. It was just Pam and Olivia. I think the show should've been more balanced towards the end. You should mark down how many times the regular kids appeared in the last two years. You would be shocked how LITTLE they appear.

And I think why a lot of people didn't like Sondra all that much was because SHE WAS NEVER ON. LOL. I mean, they got her married almost immediately and gave her two kids, and then she barely was around.

I think Sondra wasn't seen much because she didn't live in the huxtable household. So she was seen off and on like the grandparents.

Yeah. I was just thinking that myself. I'm still working on the list, but look at how many episodes "Sondra" was absent in:

(Sondra became a regular in Season 2, #25) The numbers represent episode #s
Sondra: 25, 26, 29, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 50, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 59, 60, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67, 71, 72, 73, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 84, 85, 86, 87, 89, 90, 91, 92, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 100, 101, 103, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 119, 120, 121, 122, 124, 125, 127, 128, 129, 131, 134, 135, 138, 139, 140, 142, 143, 145, 146, 147, 148, 149, 151

WHY? I just think the writing got a little more edgy around that time. Like, doing things over Pam's boyfriend wanting her to have sex with him, or like the show where they had to argue over if a stripper should do something for them. They would never have done shows like that even 3 seasons earlier. I think it changed the most when the opening of the Cosby show was flamingo colored, liek when vanessa was starting to go "bad" and I liked it. They werent doing shows over, like, a story Rudy writes and tells her parents about, where the world is a great place or whatever, and I really hated those kinds of episodes.

Those weren't the greates episodes but they were still entertaining. I really liked the "bad song"
" and we'll do it in you FACE!"
That was funny.
