I don't know how long this has been around, but I was expecting it to be said sooner or later. There are rumors that the girls of t.A.T.u are just putting on an act, and are not really into girls at all, but have stready boyfriends. Have any of you guys heard this? And what do you think about it?

Hmm.. I dunno. But if they are straight, how can they just make out? I dunno.. wouldnt make sense to me.

Exactly. Good point. But here's my theory (something the rumors didn't mention), I think they are told to do it by their agents. I've read that they are controlled in many ways--such as having to shave their eyebrows for a music video. Now, that's a lot different than being told to "play lesbians or bisexuals." But who knows--it's Russia! Perhaps the music industry there will do anything to make these girls project a certain "shock value." We may never know. For now I won't believe it wholeheartedly, but it's still my little theory.

Both girls are Bisexual and are best friends, But they are not lesbians and they both do have steady boyfriends.

Okay. It was on Celebrity Justice a few weeks ago that I heard it is "supposedly an act." I just hope that's not the case.

It is an act. But Julia once said if she had to do a lesbian scene she would feel more comfortable doing it with Lena her best friend. Its just a publicity act thier manager is making them do.

But IMO they do it really well ;)

I read that the girls in fact are putting on an act, and that they are just really good friends. I'll see if I can find where I read that.

I don't even know if its true. Its only what i heard...I guess only Julia and Lena know their sexuality. :)

Okay, I found it, but you have to be registered on that board in order to read the post and so I'm just posting what they said. Sure, it could just be another opinion, but I think this person is telling the truth.
Don't get me wrong I like the song 'All The Things She Said,' but I seriously doubt myself that they are truly lesbians. I mean think about it if you were straight and could sing, but the catch is that you have to kiss your best friend and say that you're lesbians for a great deal of money, wouldn't you go for it too?

There not really "Lesbians" there putting on an act for people so they get more recognition.

People just don't want to think if those Tatu girls are gay or not because the majority of them are probably homophobic. Why in the world would singers act gay just to get recognition? It wouldn't make sense. Their music is good. That's what gives them recognition.

If that's the case, I am in the minority. I am NOT a homophobic yet I think there is a chance they are 100% straight. If they aren't, I am totally cool with that. Couldn't care less. I watched their video a million times, I listened to that song all the time on the radio.

"Why would they act gay just to get recognition?" If that's the truth, the answer would be maybe because they are from RUSSIA and told when to jump and how high in their career. Their "people" might just tell them to do this for the press and "shock value." I hope its not true though because that would be terrible to be made to act a certain way when they aren't into it, just so they can have a music career.
