(forgive me for boring those of you who may not be interested in this topic...)

On the color eps (seasons 2-5), it appears that Larry Hagman's eyes are either green or hazel.

As I recall, on the colorized eps of the first season IDOJ that we used to see on Hallmark, his eyes appeared blue (which shows how many inaccuracies arise when original B&W films get colorized).

Does anyone know what color they REALLY are?

I think they are brown, I probably have that information on my website somewhere. I think they are brown or hazel though.

Listen up everyone:

If you want to WHY one person or another would say,
"close those baby blues..." to one with green eyes ( and quite honestly, green is a better description than hazel, which just confuses people ), it's just that in those times you'd hear that a lot --people either claiming to be blue-eyed when they were not, or that expression being a catch-all.
In Marvel Comics in the 1960s, the characters kept referring to their baby-blue eyes a lot, and quite honestly, while Ben Grimm, The Thing WAS blue-eyed, I question as to whether Sipder Man was, since I saw more than one pic of him with BROWN eyes.

The term "green-eyed" was used colloquiolly as a derogative as someone who is jealous, bad, mean, while "blue-eyed" denoted one who is favored, loved, admired.

I know of one actor or another who kept referring to his "blue" eyes, even though in close ups of all his films amd on his autobiography book jacket, his eyes were GREEN, GREEN, GREEN.
Green-eyed people were like orphans in those days, rendered invisible.
During a famous grade school experiment, "The Eye of the Storm" Blue Eyes were pitted vs Brown Eyes, in a "Blue eyed people have more rights than brown eyed people" --then the next week, it switched. The point was to teach kids about why it's wrong to be prejudiced.
So where did green-eyed kids fit in? They had to go with the whichever color was in the minority. ]

Bill Daily has blue eyes. In most of the episodes, Larry's look either green or hazel (but hazel eyes have that wonderful ability)...

I have noticed that too!! LOL.. That is odd. I always thought Blue.

Trust me...Eyes are Hazel...Sometimes appear blue depending on what is worn.

They look blue to me, too.
