First, let me tell ya some background info..Since 9/11 I always have nightmares about planes hitting my house. Well, today I thought that dream was gonna come true!!!
My mom and I and the cat were outside doing yard work and stuff like that, just minding our own business and we hear something loud fly over. Mom said, "What the hell was that?" but I saw a big honking jet-plane fly over the house flying pretty low. So I think it passed over, we're ok now...but this thing heads toward town still flying low only to turn around. It was so low that it wasn't even over the mountain range! It slowly turns, countinues banking, and I swear it looks as if it's headed right for my house! I live in an A-frame so it's pretty tall, but you wouln't thing a plane would hit it! I started thinking that it wasn't happening & it wasn't real and a million different things were running through my mind b/c it was just like all those awful dreams I'd had. I just stood there in the yard w/ the cat thinking that this jet is in trouble & going to crash and it's getting closer. Mom starts yelling at me to get away or get down or get in the house, so I grab my cat and run into the house not knowing where mom even went. I couldn't even think of anything but I felt like I was going to die, so I just started praying that the plane didn't hit the house. About 2 seconds later I realized that my house was still in tact so I found mom and she said that it came over the maple tree and she thought it was going to go right into the living room b/c it kept getting lower but somehow it kept going right over the house and on up the mountain. It was SOOOOO SCARY!!!!!! I think I've blocked a lot of it out of my mind already. I've even had a dream about this about 3 times before this, but I was in my house looking out the window and I wake up right before it hits. It was coming from the same direction as in my dream. I didn't even see it pass back over the house. It was just awful. I don't know what the heck they were doing but it was the scariest thing.

ohh my. Do you live near the place where the small plane crashed into an apartment building in California? There was something about that happening today on the news. I 'm glad that the plane didn't hit your house, and that your still alive. I bet that was really scarey!

That's scary. It was lucky the plane didn't hit your house. Planes crashing into my apartment building is one thing that I worry about sometimes. I live near an airport in the city I live in. It's unlikely that a plane would crash in my area though because I haven't heard of a plane crashing in my city for a long long time. But, when I first moved into the apartment, I became very aware everytime I heard the sound of a plane.

What a horrifying experience for you. Those low flying planes blow my mind every time.
I'm glad you're safe and sound. It's very sweet that you grabbed your cat.
Glad you're okay. :)

Sorry about that Emily. I couldn't imagine because I love planes. 9/11 didn't really change anything for me, but I know what it's like to have a recuring dream and then something like that happen. Scary.

hey maybe those reacurring dreams were a premennition (sp?) for the plane that almost hit your home...

The weird thing is that this plane didn't have any numbers or anything on it. Yeah it was that close! It was some kind of jet so it was a pretty big plane. Aren't they supposed to have call letters or something? Like everybody in my town saw it wondered why it was flying so low. Thanks everybody for the kind words. :) I'm glad there isn't a plane sitting in my house now too. I would be mad if there was a damn plane sitting in my living-room! (like there would be any of my house left)
