View Full Version : Jo's Goodbye
JoFan 12-12-2000, 12:17 AM Did everyone see that tonite? I knew Jo would go back and hug everyone. Did you see how Lisa and Mindy both got all teary eyed? You could tell that was real. And then when Jo goes back to the doorway, you can see Nancy's about to cry when they freeze the scene...too bad we didn't see Jo cry. I mean, to see the character's sensitive side, not because I wanna see NAncy cry!
*Sniff* Got a little misty eyed myself.

*Jo and Blair rule!*
Nat: Look Jo if you don't get this scholarship you're gonna be back in the BRONX running around with the little pueblos!
Jo: Young Diablos!
BLAIR: Take them off JO!! I dont want to fail!
Jo: will you read my editorial?
Blair: YES!
JO: You PROMISE?
Blair: YES!!
JO: You SWEAR??
Blair: YESS!!!
Jo: i dont believe you (Ducks back under desk with a grin)
(Blair, Tootie and Jo laughing at Natalie)
Natalie: What?
(Continue to laugh)
Natalie: What?!
(Takes off her hat and looks at it)
Natalie: Oh good! Good!! I’m loosin’ a bolt! I’m working half wattage here!!
***Every Jo needs a Blair!***
Nat: A flash back within a flashback....! I'm so brilliant it scares me!
Michele35 12-12-2000, 12:22 AM I was just getting ready to post the same thing myself. It almost seemed like the last episode of the series although we know there is still one more year to be aired on N@N.
It was kinda cool to see Jo leave the same way she came on the show in the second season...on her motorcycle.
I also cheered during the graduation when Blair read Jo's speech. Awww, it seems like they just graduated from Eastland and now they are graduating from college.
Cokies 12-12-2000, 01:04 AM Hey people, im in Pacific time, so I havent seen it yet. It sounds really good. Hmmmm....,only a hour to go till' it's on.
Hey, joFan, you havent seen one episode where Jo cries? Whoa, you must of havent seen the Eastland years, huh? She cries a lot, actually, by far more than the other girls. Did you see last night's ep on 'MYOS', she balled when she broke up with Eddie(she did the other two times also).

JO: Now, Natalie, when you hear these voices, are they friendly?
Jo: one minute you are happy and healthy, the next minute youre a pamento loaf on a gurny!
Jo: BOOZE!
Blair:booze? this is Puweefwize
Jo: gahzuntite!
Blair: it's the Michealobe of wine.
Jo: id ont think i can get this stuff down, i'll get some beer.
Nat: How will you get beer?
Jo: i'll get beer
Mrs G: no, but i have an idea, you girls got any ideas?
Nat:Nope, not me!
Blair: Not Muah! Jo?
Jo:Me? uh... no, i havent had an idea since '79!
JMarie_Polniaczek 12-12-2000, 01:34 AM So like is Jo gone forever? I don't think so she is cause I remember seeing her when her hair was much longer in the ep with Nat and Snake you know. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
------------------
Tootie: I write and angy letter, and address it to whoever I am angry with, then...I don't send it.
Jo: Ohh..that'll teach em.
Cokies 12-12-2000, 03:12 AM Nah, she's not gone. She comes back to Peekskill after the job in L.A falls through.
Oh, and I just watched the episode, it was really good, kinda sad at the end of course.

JohnMcMillin 12-12-2000, 10:05 AM it almost makes me wonder if they intended on ending FOL in the 86-87 season, but got lucky and decided for them to come back one more year.
IMO, last night's episode (save the fact that Tootie left so soon in it) would've made a better and sadder "final episode" than The Beginning Of The Beginning did.
Jo_Polniaczek 12-12-2000, 10:07 AM It was so sad that I almost cried myself.
That's gotta be sad cause I never cry.
Mustang Mimi 04 12-12-2000, 12:05 PM Yes I think that would have made more sense to end there I mean Nat's going back to college- Blair's at law school- Jo's in California- and Tootie's at that acting school. Now it ended with To Be Continued- when does it continue? I mean tonight they are showing Down Under so I am kinda confused. From the way the episode names are set up it sounds like the one where Jo leaves is the second part but why did it end with to be continued?
------------------
Tootie: Can we sing?
Jo: Sing?
Tootie: That's what I do when I'm scared what do you do?
Jo: Slap people
Blair: A Warner is like a delicate soufle
Jo: Yeah light and empty
Nat: I'd rather be a happy magic marker than a skinny pencil
Michele35 12-12-2000, 01:05 PM I checked NaN and Monday's Jo moves to California ep will be continued on Thursday when Jo stays at the House of that big guy from 'Night Court.'
Tonight and tomorrow night we will be seeing 4 episodes of the girls in Australia. I think originally this was a 2 hour movie but has been cut into (4) 1/2 hour eps.
I was disappointed to see that we won't be seeing the Natalie loses her virginity episode this run through but at least we will be seeing the Jo gets married ep on 12/22.
Polniaczek77 12-12-2000, 08:04 PM That was a really sad episode! I cried when Jo left! I can't wait to see the rest of it tonight. I wanna find out what happens!

Blair- "We were responsible for the wine"
Jo- "And the beer."
Mrs. G- " How did you get beer?"
Jo: "I got beer."
Jo:"I'm gonna loosen some teeth."
Jo:"What's that disgusting smell? Why Blair, it's you!"
Jo:"Uh, in a minute you're gonna be wearing flared teeth."
Jo:"You're born, you move on, you die, that's life"
Jo: "I thought you liked me in that way that you like somebody when you like them in that way."
Jo: "I don't think I can get this stuff down. I'll get some beer!"
Tootie: Can we sing?
Jo: Sing?
Tootie: "That's what I do when I'm scared, what do you do?"
Jo: "Slap people."
Mrs. G: "Part of me wishes you would have hit him with something."
Jo: "Oh, I did, that's what happened to the other shoe."
Roy: "How's my little cucumber?"
Jo: "Don't call me vegetables, Roy!"
Jo: "There's always been things I've wanted to say to him. Now that I'm older I know better words."
Jo: "The only place I wanna see a cow is
slapped on a bun with some 57 sause."

The Facts of Life rocks!
Blair: This is (the address Jo leaves in Malibu)?
Officer: You're looking for Jo Polizanick? (spelled wrong, sry) [points to jail]
Blair: Oh god I knew it.
Jo: Something must be wrong if i see my roommate talking to a sock puppet.
