I really like Family Ties.
I don't understand why everybody thinks that Tina Yothers became so ugly when she hit puberty, a couple of friends of mine came to my house to see the show and when Tina appeared they were like "Who's this ugly creature?" and "how can she be an actress?" that really upset me, I mean, only beautiful people are allowed to be actors?

In the final 3 seasons of the show, I kinda think she is very hot and you know what. One problem was she gained some weight. I think

Yeah absolutely. I'm a woman so I can't really tell, but I know that she gained some weight in 1985-86 and that towards the end of the show she looked a lot better. Every teenager has his "ugly" years. See Michael J. Fox when he was 15....:eek:

You should tell your friends that some of the greatest actors and actresses in the world are less than beautiful. Looks have absolutely nothing to do with talent. Many of the less than beautiful actors, and actresses have more talent in their pinkies than some of these beautiful so called actors who are only hired because of their looks, have in their whole body. And as far as Tina being an ugly creature goes, I would have done just about anything to be with a girl like that when I was 15 years old. I thought she was, and is gorgeous.

I agree...and besides, we tend to obsess too much about our own and other people's appearances a little too much. We should consider ourselves lucky if we have functioning limbs and healthy organs instead of worrying about our weight, skin, hair, etc. Look at Michael J. Fox. He's beautiful and talented but he has a degenerative disease that he's probably trade his looks for if it would mean just a few more years to spend with his family. I encourage everyone who reads this to think about him every time they feel they're too fat or too thin or whatever else they might worry over, and be thankful for your health and the health of your loved ones.
